I will never stay at this chain of hotels again (Scottish Inn & Suites). Only did because my sister booked a room here to stay for the return flight home the next day. I had an inclination to book a different hotel for my wife and me, but decided to stick with my sister and her husband.
Got concerned when our Uber driver told us to be careful because this hotel chain is known for housing a lot of homeless people. Seemed the case. There were definitely some people around the property that seem to live there, including a family with kids.
Older building they tried to cleanup. The room smelled full of cleaning chemicals. We had to crack the door and have to bathroom fan and hvac unit on for hours after we arrived to try to remove the smell. It was 30 degrees at the time, so heater was running with door open. Closed the door about the time it started getting dark.
Mattresses were soft and lumpy. Pillows were smaller than a standard sized pillow and very uncomfortable.
The breakfast was very basic, and the food tasted very processed and fake. The coffee even was terrible. The food was set up in a small lobby with a couple small tables, the room not being designed for this.
