be prepared to be treated as a captive audience with regards to prices, around £6.50 a pint for 2nd rate lager, can't recommend the steak as was amongst the worst i have been served and frozen mixed veg that might have seen the oven was described as oven cooked vegetables and with exactly 6 chips @ £33 i suggest the burger @ £20

The parking was easy and safe as they have 24hr cctv. The room was spacious and clean and came with a bath too. Brilliant service and the breakfast was really good. Well worth it as a stop over for a few nights.

Poor front of house welcome

Upon arrival was disappointed to find out that the spar was closed. Not the best of welcomes considering i had just driven 260 miles, a little "welcome to 315 bar and restaurant" or a "how has your day been" would of gone down well. He just wanted to offload my key and let me know which room I stayed. The same guy served me for breakfast and wasn't the happiest. The lad at the bar in the evening was great and very chatty!

Really nice stay! Rooms were gorgeous, well decorated, everything you needed were there. Very quiet place, even tho they had an event on we didnt hear a thing. Breakfast was nice too, you you needed to wait a while and the staff seemed really agitated. All of them were nice, we didnt have a problem. But very moody, not most welcoming but if you look past that. It was great.

Very nice place to stay

Very nice hotel, just minutes from family who we were visiting, room was very comfortable and house keeper was really nice, breakfast was lovely and freshly made when ordered, table service was good and I liked that rather than buffet style, (never know where those hands have been). Will definitely book again.
