Evening meal was tasty and well presented. Location is on a busy road, but 10 minutes from a nice stroll around Castle Hill and has good views AT THE BACK. Recommend that you request to dine in the conservatory at the back with lovely view. Also take a room in the main building with lovely views from the back. The alternative (we were late bookers) is dining in a side room and a bedroom in the extension with windows on to a corridor overlooking an enclosed seating area (no views at all). Enjoy the better options if you can. The food is great and the staff are lovely.

Lovely family suite for one night. 6 of us so we had king size and 2 sofa beds. I drew the short straw for a sofa bed - it wasnt a good night of sleep! I can manage for 1 night but would have struggled for a full weekend.

The property felt as though it was maintained to a good standard and the staff at the wedding party we attended were efficient and absolutely on top of their game. I liked the useable outdoor space which was a bonus on a hot evening. Great venue. The breakfast - we had full English breakfast and it was delicious and of good quality. Just enough and not overfaced. Would I stay there again - absolutely.

Fab place in a beautiful location

The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. I stayed in the bar area to eat, as I'd just had a spa afternoon and knew a dining room would be too hot for me - I found a table next to an open window! A little pricing, but in keeping with the whole place overall. The spa was very warm, as I expect it should be, but a little warm for me as it was a hot day anyway - I'll have to return in winter! Staff were friendly and efficient!

Great hotel in a great location

Will definately stay again, lovely rooms with very comfy beds and a great view. Check in/out was very straightforward, staff very polite and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely too with a good range to chose from on menu.

The room was nice but, the duvet was not warm it was of thin quality and the pillows were not comfortable. The tap at the bathrooom sink was unstable. The breakfast was good but could have been hotter.

Good family room. Lacking breakfast

Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a good size and set up for a family as we needed. We were disappointed that the spa was closed, an odd decision to close the spa at the weekend when travellers are most likely to want to use it. Breakfast was a little underwhelming but plenty to choose from. The cereal packets were quite a long way out of date. The traffic was quite loud from our room at the front of the hotel. A room at the back would be much better to be able to sleep through. Just wish the spa was open, it was a reason we booked this property.

Beds need to be comfortable

Great location. The bed was rather hard and we didn’t get much sleep as we could not get comfortable. It didn’t do my back any good. Bedroom and bathroom spotless, no complaints. I think they need more staff as when we checked in and out no one was on reception. I had to go and find them in the kitchen. It was the same at breakfast. We could hear the staff chatting but it took a while for them to serve us. This said everyone was friendly and polite. If I knew that the bed would be comfortable I would stay again.
