Welcome to The Grandview Lodge, oasis at Smith Mountain Lake! Fall in love instantly
with this beautifully remodeled lake home that uniquely retains its original lake cottage
charm. Full-front sunroom draws in the amazing lake and mountain views on this flat lot
with 350 feet of shoreline. Waterfront and mountain vistas extend to both sides of the
home, front and back. Beautifully remodeled kitchen with all appliances and plenty of
counter space and bar. Updated bathrooms with walk-in showers. The mossy
lake-cottage chimney and gas-log fireplace definitely set the mood. You'll want to make
The Grandview Lodge your year round private retreat.
This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home sleeps 10 comfortably. On the upper level, the two
bedrooms are housed with luxurious king size beds and the ground level rooms include
three queen beds and two cozy twin XL beds. The living space is open and allows
guests to mingle comfortably with two couches, a dining table and four stools for the
kitchen island. Feel free to extend into the outside patio where there is additional
outdoor seating with umbrella coverage if you choose.
You’ll also find the house is equipped with xfinity wifi throughout! The TV’s located on
the lower level offer all streaming platforms perfect to make memories for movie night
with family and friends!
Soak in the surrounding beauty while lounging on an expansive deck & enjoy the feeling
of being up in the trees. This vacation property is optimal for your morning coffee with a
picturesque sunrise over the cove or stargazing at night. Porch includes Weber Spirit
3-burner propane grill. Share together time & cozy up by the lakeside fire-pit with
stunning scenery. Split firewood located on property.
The Grandview Lodge sits close to the water with steps that lead to a stationary sun
deck. There you’ll find two kayaks, one paddleboard, and a storage box with provided
life jackets, but feel free to bring your own! Be sure to plan to explore the waters of the
quiet and calm cove, fish off the deck, or just relax in the shade.
PLEASE NOTE: The boat hoist is off limits, but this nice dock offers use of the multiple
boat slips to tie up your boat and PWC. Closeby watercraft rentals and boat ramps are
located just three minutes away at Parkway Marina. Directly across the lake is Mitchell's
Point Marina; a full service gas dock, with a Restaurant & Pizzeria (absolute best pizza
around) with take-out, outdoor patio dining & tiki bar featuring local artist live music
Fridays & Saturdays through the summer; Captain Scoop Hand Dipped Ice Cream
shop; Captain Bert's Fishin' Charters; & Nevermind Marine Service (mobile boat repair).
PARKING: The spacious area in front of the house fits parking for six vehicles.
Items to bring: Lake towels, trash bags, paper goods (toilet tissue, paper towels),
detergent (dish & laundry) flashlight, firewood for fire-pit, cone filters for coffee maker.
Items NOT to bring: Pets, Worries & stress.
Items you’ll WISH you had brought: camera, water toys, sun block, fishing gear, cooler,
lawn chairs.
Linen fee will cover all linens for your beds and 2 towels and wash cloth per person.

There must be one adult at least 25 years of age occupying the property. That qualifying person must provide payment via credit card for the rental deposit and is responsible for the leased property. Copy of the ID required upon booking.

The check in check out process was smooth and Anthony was very helpful and communicated well. The kitchen was well equipped. The view was out of this world and we docked our rental boat right up to the house. There was plenty of room for our family of 7 and we had a lovely time on the lake. Perfect stay!

This SML property is amazing! The location is perfect. The views from the house, the deck, and the pier were beyond amazing! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more. And the bedrooms were so comfortable!!!! The neighborhood feels private and has a nice little walking path! And the host was so accommodating and responsive to my messages! We hope to come back again next summer with our group of 10!

Perfect Place

Our family thought this was the perfect place for a relaxing week at the lake. We brought our boat and had lots of space to park our boat trailer and dock the boat. The grandchildren and adults enjoyed the paddle board and kayaks. The bass fishing was exceptional. We enjoyed boating to a couple of cool restaurants on the lake. The view was beautiful and could be enjoyed from the large dock or inside the lovely home. The home was comfortable with more than enough room for our group of 4 adults and 3 children. I would recommend this place for folks both young andold!

Lovely Labor Day

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was just right--comfortable and not too fancy. It was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped. The kayaks and paddle board were well used---it was wonderful for the kids. Where the house is situated on the lake was great. The water was clear and the boat traffic was not overly congested as in other parts of the lake. We had an excellent family gathering, thank you!

Lovely property

The house and yard are lovely. My son and daughter spent most of their time on the paddleboard and kayak. We rented a pontoon and had no trouble tying up to the spacious dock. We had a little hiccup arriving but Tomas was able to fix the lock remotely. The only issue we had were the tiny ants in the kitchen

Great Lake spot

Very clean and ample space for our group. Check in and check out process was very easy. Beds and linens very fresh and neatly made. Temperature of house was very comfortable as it was a hot week when we were there. Outside patio and dock space were more than expected! Kids swam, fished, and utilized water sport equipment endlessly! We walked to Parkway marina and rented a boat, there is easy and nice dockage at the house. Great swimming! Very clean cove! There is a store within a few mile drive where we could pick up essentials and souvenirs. Great place and we had a great time! Many memories made!

Relaxing enjoyable stay

As advertised! Comfy beds, plenty of space for the five of us, especially enjoyed the large sun room and well appointed kitchen.We rented a boat both days so did not really use the dock or side yard deck but those were nice too. One small thing, kitchen needs more towels (we had two and would have appreciated at least six since we cooked and cleaned up a lot). We had a really lovely time!

Good Stay With Only Minor Complaints

The property and house are beautiful and kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking essentials. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, communication was great. We noted only two minor negatives. One is that there were quite a few cobwebs around the indoor dining table. We expect those outside but not necessarily where we eat inside. The other is that in order to control the volume on the TVs, we had to either download an app or manually adjust the soundbar. Generally this is a minor inconvenience but for the price of the house, I would expect convenience. There's also an additional damage protection fee that is tacked on after booking. You can cancel the reservation and receive a full refund if you don't want to pay it, but I feel the additional cost should be more transparent.

Cute house, perfect for friends or family stay!

This house was exactly what we needed for our girls weekend at the lake. Big deck with lots of seating, huge dock not far from the house with plenty of room to spread out, and great location! The house itself was really cute with a nice layout. Loved the number of bathrooms too. We especially enjoyed sitting on the large sectional couch in the mornings, and talking over coffee while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. Tom was lovely to work with and we would definitely recommend this to anyone going to visit SML!

Awesome Vacation at Grandview Lodge

Grandview Lodge is a nice property in a great location. It is in a beautiful setting with fantastic views of the lake. House is cozy and inviting. dining and family gathering in the large sunroom is awesome. Bridgewater shopping center with restaurants and a grocery store near by. Lot is flat with few steps to lake and large dock which was great for my father-in-law and grandkids. We had a wonderful time and would love to stay here again!

What a great trip!

An excellent spot to just relax and enjoy life. We especially loved what appears to be the neighborhood’s lion head rabbit. It made almost daily trips for visit the property. I’ve never seen a more social rabbit. Overall it was a great environment to get the family together.

Lovely house for our family of 8

This house was well provisioned for our family from the small appliances in the kitchen (incl. instapot, crockpot, etc), to the game closet, to the water toys (kayaks and paddle board). The large sunroom/eating area was great for hanging out together and playing games. The location was ideal and the deck next to the docks was quite large for everyone to spread out. It was also nice that the deck had both shade and sun. You get a sunrise view across the water and can see all the action while being in a nice cove out of the main path for boats. We would definitely stay here again.
