My entire experience with Expedia was horrible. Will not book through them again. We booked to stay at deerhurst, my family came down with a flu bug and we’re not able to travel. I called Deerhurst who said I had to go through Expedia.
I spoke to a representative and asked if we could get a refund or a credit to switch our stay. The representative made it seem as though this would not be an issue, told me not to contact Expedia they would take care of it and i would hear in 24 hours. I received multiple emails from different reps, over 3 days that they were working on this and to not contact them. They reported no one at deerhurst was answering. I find this hard to believe. By this time my stay had come and gone. I received an email yesterday saying sorry nothing could be done. I could tell from the email the representatives did not know my situation, they had suggested I call deerhurst resort to see about changing my booking. My scheduled stay had already passed- I didn’t contact deerhurst, as they directed me not to. I understood when calling there may have been anything they could do, they let me on to believe they could assist with this one time issue. We’ve booked through Expedia before I was surprised at the total lack of customer service/poor management of this situation. Do better Expedia. I will take my money elsewhere thanks!
