The property has potential, but when I first walked into the lobby, there was a heavy mildew smell. The cleaning people used heavily scented cleaning to cover it up in the rooms, but I could tell there was still a ton of mildew, as my sinuses got all stopped up. The front desk clerk that checked us in was lazy and unhelpful. She seemed to feel she had more important things to do than help us. When I asked which side of the property my room is on, she just said "I don't know." When I asked for a map of the property, she said she didn't have one. The stopper in the shower in our room was very difficult to use. The sausage served in the cafe was SUPER salty and I could even finish one sausage link. Not a good experience. I would have cancelled my room if I hadnt been so tired. Speaking of tired, the bed was so hard, my whole body ached in the morning and I didn't get much sleep.

Wonderful staff, clean and spacious rooms, great breakfast with lots of hot and cold items to choose from. Room was quiet. Great little Mexican food restaurant just steps away. However, the indoor swimming pool was green and cold. The hot tub area and been cemented over.

Nice for the Price - the staff is great

SHSU orientation trip. The staff we encountered were all amazing! The front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was firmer than I prefer, but there were plenty of pillows, which I love. The room did smell a bit musty, and it was disappointing that the pool room covered the hot tub. I was surprised that at least one window had no glass or screen, but it did have security bars. Overall it was nice for the price.

The needed some work many things were worn out or broken like back door. Had to walk around if you parked in the back to get in the building. Twice my card key stopped working and also my wife had issues with her key card. The pool area also needs work. While the pool seemed clean the area around and the bathroom was not the best in that area.
