We are in love with this resort! We honestly can’t say enough good things about it. We stayed in the coolest room we have ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in some pretty great places. It was heavily themed, floor to ceiling, to perfection. It was very clean and very well appointed. Coffee bar was a great touch and loved the fireplace. The location was perfect. Easy walk to shopping and dining. The man at the office that we talked to about being a late check-in was incredibly helpful and friendly. He even called to follow-up with us before he left. We can’t wait to stay here again! We found a new favorite mountain getaway.

Not where we thought we booked

Strawberry Creek Inn was beautiful and very nice and picturesque. However, in Hotels.com we chose Idylwilld Inn, mainly because it was in the center of town, we didn’t notice it said off-site and were booking the “sister property” that was a 5 minute drive away and further from town. This unfortunately did taint our enthusiasm and left a bad taste in our mouth in the beginning. Again, Strawberry Creek was beautiful, we just wish it had been where we knew we chose. It would definitely be preferable for them to advertise them separately!

This is the first time we have stayed in Idyllwild and this hotel. The location was good away from downtown and the main road, a mile or so from downtown. The hotel was quiet and the rooms were warm. We chose The Flannel room which had an electric fireplace and a large patio surrounded by pine trees, beautiful. This hotel has other locations, one being in downtown with walking distance to multiple restaurants and coffee houses. We will definitely visit Idyllwild and explore more.
