I stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express in Harvey. The hotel was clean, and the night staff was polite and professional. Unfortunately, my experience during breakfast was upsetting and overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay. A kitchen staff member behaved in a confrontational and inappropriate manner toward both my husband and me. She repeatedly attempted to overload my husband’s tray despite his declining assistance and spoke to him in a bossy, forceful way. When I approached the hot breakfast area, she loudly told me to “move along,” even though I had just arrived and there was only one guest behind me. After we sat down, the television—which was already playing a Catholic Mass—was abruptly changed. When I calmly asked why, the same staff member responded rudely and continued changing channels despite saying she would put it back. She then raised her voice, made accusatory comments toward me, and shouted a religious remark across the room in front of other guests. At one point, she was waving metal tongs while yelling, which was alarming. I went to the front desk to report the incident. The breakfast staff member followed me, and the front desk associate refused to escalate the issue or call a manager, treating me as though I was at fault. This behavior was unacceptable in a hospitality setting. I hope ownership is made aware and addresses this so future guests do not experience the same.

Está muy bien el hotel, y pensamos ahorrarnos algo al ir pra festejar año nuevo, y traer carro, pero al ir y venir al centro lo que nos ibamos a ahorrar lo terminamos pagando en estacionamiento en el centro por los 3 días. Checa precios en PREMIUM PARKING y haz cuentas de si conviene o no quedarse lejos del centro con un hotel que te puedas mover caminando.

Initially booked for one night.. checked into the room and it had a not so fresh smell.. I think it was the carpet because their rooms are always very clean but the carpet looked like it could use a good shampoo so I’m pretty sure that was the source..like something spilled on it and it wasn’t cleaned thoroughly..but I told the front desk and I wound up extending the stay and they put me in another room that was definitely more fresh..they made it right so the stay was excellent afterwards
