Clean and friendly service

I travel from Alabama to Iowa at least 1 a month. I always stay at a LaQuinta. Dog friendly, very clean and super easy check in and out. The new upgrades at the Festus location are nice! No more carpet.

Stay away!!

The A/C was not working and was miserable. Called the front desk and was told they couldn’t do anything about it. It was horribly hot in our room. The hallway was cooler than our room. I checked out 5 hours later after checking in. I also noticed it was warm in there before leaving for dinner so I turned it down. Came back and it was still the same. Called the office Saturday morning explained that there was no way to sleep in the room and I wanted a refund since I checked out. Was told to contact hotels.com for my refund so I proceeded to make the call and was told that they reached out for my refund to be approved. Well let’s just say you (hotel) told them (hotels.com) that you refuse to refund me. And that there would be maintenance to fix that. I was told there was nothing they could do about it. So after that experience… I will not be coming back to this hotel for next years events!!

Elevator was out of order. Rooms say they fit 5 but only if you want to fit 3 small children on a queen bed and your not allowed to have a cot. Just a huge mess.

Alright hotel

The front desk staff, plus Carlos, the breakfast server were super kind, helpful, & polite. Breakfast was good, nice variety, & well-stocked. Our room was just alright, needed a little TLC. But otherwise, decent hotel & LOVE that the hotel is pet friendly.

A week in January 2025

Well, they put us in the first room by the lobby. The overnight workers continue to carry on a very loud conversation laughing and joking, waking us up at times on several nights. The beds were extremely hard. The breakfast was excellent the room space was excellent and the people were friendly staying there the, employees were more concerned with the conversation amongst themselves then tending to guests. Customer service was not very good. However I would stay here again just not in the first room and hopefully the elevator will be working. The only ice machine is on the second floor in the elevator was broke the entire time and talking to other people staying there long-term it had been broke for over a month.

We had two rooms. One had obviously dirty sheets on one bed. The other smelled so badly of smoke that you were slapped in the face with it when you opened the door. The elevator was out and seemed to have been for some time.

Room was decent. Could tell the hotel is older. Caulking in bathroom was horrible, lights in restroom flickering. Room and sheets were clean, bedframe creaked badly. Hallways smelled musty. For just a place to sleep and explore the area it did the job

Had to wait awhile in line. Once up to the counter they realized i had checked in online and simply handed me my room key. A simple "has anyone already checked in online" could've saved me 15 minutes and cleared the line quicker.
