KONA CLOUD FOREST GUEST HOUSE~3 Bedrooms~

This two-story 3 bedroom home is nestled among the native forestry on the slopes of Hualalai with both mountain and ocean views. Just seven miles and a 15 minute drive to the heart of Kona town and and 14 minute drive from Kona International Airport. Nearby is Pa’ina Place, a special event venue in a Hawaiian garden , Kaloko Cloud Forest tours, coffee farm tour and hiking trails, including the “Jurassic” trail (see photos). Plenty of space for your family to relax and reconnect. E kipa mai!

This two-story guest house is located directly across the driveway of the main family home. The ground floor entrance includes a full size bathroom, kitchen, washer/dryer, sitting and dining area. Walk up a full flight of stairs to find three bedrooms and a living room with lovely garden and ocean views. This is perfect for a family vacation or group looking for a cool oasis in an ancient Hawaii forest setting, surrounded by native plants and birds. You have the option of using either the indoor or outdoor shower for a full tropical experience.

We offer an outdoor seating/dining area which includes a full size hammock, dining table and fire table (*propane for an optional fee).

With three queen beds and a pull out sofa bed, this unit can comfortably accommodate families of 6 to 8 guests. ($20 per person, per night past 6 guests).

This is an opportunity to stay in the only `cloud forest` in the USA! Unlike rainforests that are typically muggy and humid, cloud forests are at cooler elevations and often shrouded in a dreamlike mist. You are surrounded by a lush Hawaiian forest featuring awapuhi, heliconia, orchids, guava, avocado, and lehua.

*** Kona International Airport is 7.5 miles away (~12 minute drive). Car rental or ride sharing app is highly recommended.

***Mountain Thunder Coffee Farm is nearby with free guided tours. Learn about this 100% Private Reserve coffee while also enjoy a walking tour and lava tubes.

***Nearby is Pa’ina Place, a special event venue which hosts weddings and private parties in a garden like setting.

***Kaloko Cloud Forest Guided Walking Tours are a short drive away.

*** Beach lovers can soak up the sand and surf and retreat to a cool forest within minutes. King Kamehameha Beach and Kailua Pear is 6.5 miles from our home and Pine Trees surfing beach is 8.7 miles away. Costco is directly down the hill and 6 miles away. You would never guess youʻre so centrally located, while in the cool serene of a native forest.

We highly recommend you have a rental car, there isn`t any public transport nearby and the home is located in Hawaiian forest. A dedicated carport is specifically designated for guest house parking.

Early check in requests are passed along to the contracted cleaning team and they will notify us if the unit is available before the scheduled check in time.

A STARTER KIT of complimentary supplies are provided for you to get settled (2 rolls of toilet paper, 3 dishwasher pacs, 3 laundry pods, napkins, garbage bags). Guests will need to provide any additional items they need during their stay. A convenience mart (Matsuyama’s Store) is one mile north on the main highway.
