The hotel is old and is run down, the room has an odor of cigarette, the window shaker air conditioner would not turn on, the smoke detector is hanging by the wires over the fixture inside the door.

The place is a dump, cigarette burns on the nightstand, chemical smell was overwhelming, bathtub chipped, would not have showered there if I had fallen in a mud puddle. Had a 7:00 AM appointment at the hospital, no hot water at that time. Initial charge exceeded what was on line.

Nice pet friendly hotel in Kamloops. Big, clean, quiet room. Free breakfast of muffins, toast, cereals, pancakes, fruits. Lots of parking.

I have never stayed at a Howard Johnson’s that was so small, and dingy and dark and just awful. I was shocked that this was a Howard Johnson’s property. The staff at the front desk he was excellent though. Very friendly and kind. I got to my room and the lights were flickering like there was an electrical issue. He came up and was able to get it connected. However, later, the lights kept flickering so I didn’t feel safe, keeping them on. I can’t believe this property was Howard Johnson’s. Never stay there again.

Staff were alright pretty friendly but not super caring, room was pretty gross there were ants everywhere we had to throw out all our dog food and dog bowl due to it, there was some stains on the walls and ceiling needs some repairs due to water damage

The hotel I am not sure how it had any good reviews?? It read the reviews and they were good I thought?? Maybe I slipped up?. It was so filthy everywhere. The room stunk of body odour/smoke and chemical to mask it. The breakfast was cereal and waffle and yogurt. I saw a couple of apples there. The gal at the front was kind and sweet, but the place should be condemned.
Filthy area near door.
Moldy and beat up bathroom.
I needed to barricade the door as the door was so loose and not secure. You could slide a ruler in to open it.

Location was great. Beds comfortable. Restaurant right beside. Property was clean but needed to upgrade. Other than newer paint on the walls in bedroom area, I don’t think anything else has been done since it was built. It was noisy but that was due to inconsiderate guests

A bed frame metal stuck out and I got a bad cut on my leg walking beside the bed. I told the front desk clerk. She was sorry. Then I showed her photos and ask for compensation. She asked her manager and then refunded me $40. My 1 night stay was $123

His hotel was a little bit rundown. Fridge door in my unit did not close properly attendant did come and check it out. The breakfast area was not kept clean during breakfast. The room was OK for a quick stay over.
