This condo left quite a bit to be desired. We’ve stayed in this complex 7 times in different units, and unfortunately this was our least favorite. This space felt noticeably more worn and less cared for than other units. At this price point, we expected a higher level of comfort and upkeep.The kitchen items need attention. Many dishes were chipped/cracked, several mugs (only 5 total- 2 were unusable). The nonstick pans were heavily scratched. The beds weren’t especially comfortable, and no extra blankets provided—though we did manage to sleep fine. The view is less appealing than units facing the lava/petroglyph walk. The garage was cluttered, making parking more difficult than in other units in the complex.Positives -- the beach club access and pool are great perks of the complex. The downstairs neighbor was incredibly kind and welcoming, and really added to the aloha spirit of the trip. There’s also a beautiful, secret area in the complex with fruit trees that we loved.Not reflected in my rating: the unit hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival. Things happen. But it took quite a while to reach someone, which disrupted our plans significantly. We spent several hours out of the unit while it was addressed, plus time coordinating with support. The cleaning fee was refunded, which felt appropriate. However, the response from the owners placed blame on the property management and cleaning crew, which didn’t feel necessary or particularly helpful.
