We checked in there because of bruno mars concert on9/7. It was a small hotel but the amenities are clean and the room is excellent. Friendly staffs too! Good value for your money too

Gear Hotel at Kaohsiung

Clean and cosy environment with very friendy and helpful staff. Nice restaurant with traditional Taiwan porridge with lots of varieties vegie to go with it. Near to market place with lots of delicious food, dessert and fruits. We enjoy our 2 nights stay there.

Only the bathroom is a bit old and not quite comfort, the twin room is spacious and the two queen size beds are comfort and clean, the hotel staff are helpful and friendly, good place for overnight stay with good price.

The Gear Hotel is a good tourist-class

The Gear Hotel is a good tourist-class hotel. Service is excellent. Reception staff are very friendly. Breakfast has totally Chinese fare so westerners may not like everything. Coffee and toast are available and good. Breakfast dining room is spacious which is good. Location is so-so because the train station which is the center of everything is far and bus service to the train station from the hotel is poor. It is a 1 or 2 km walk to the train station if you are energetic and not old.

價格不符合房間品質，如不在意房間老舊，可參考。

交通不是很方便，但附近有很多好吃的小吃可以品嚐，飯店偏舊，有房間大門門縫會直接露出看見走廊道路的問題，反應過後工作人員有即時做簡單修補。但浴缸容易漏水，導致地板會溼透。落地窗第一層紗窗簾已破裂，床單有一些污漬，希望可以在整潔部分再加油。 有點不是很划算的住宿體驗，但服務工作人員都很親切。
