Swimmers, sunbathers, and beachcombers can take their pick of Gooch's Beach and Colony Beach - both of which are only a mile south. You can pick up lobster rolls at the legendary Clam Shack a quarter-mile north and ride bikes to Mother's Beach (two miles southwest) or Goose Rocks Beach (six miles northeast) for the afternoon.
