Destination fee

Be aware that they charge a $35 per day "destination fee" which you only learn about when you check in. They do soften the blow somewhat by crediting up to $20 per day for application to food or drink orders, but that just forces you to spend more money, because $20 only buys one cocktail, and eating breakfast at their restaurant rather than the adjacent Starbucks costs much more than $20. My main complaint is that you don't learn about this until you check in, so it's not feasible to change the reservation to somewhere else, where they probably have "destination fees" also, at least in center DC.

Great ambience, clean lobby, however, the rooms could use some attention. The king size bed looks more like a queen size bed, the mursty smell that greets you when you walk in. Nice bathroom I must say. The hotel is all about the gteat lobby and great staff. The rooms, not so great.
