Really good location for exploring Keswick and the area. Close to town centre, rooms clean and fairly spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food really good quality and with some vegetarian options. Drinks from the bar not too expensive. The only downside is some of the hotel looks somewhat "tired" and could do with upgrading. All in all, a really nice place to have a break.

We loved the idea of repurposing an old and magnificent building. Very clean and comfortable. Staff excellent. A little overpriced,especially considering no meals were included.

Room review

The room was lovely but the bathroom was freezing cold because it had no radiator in there so it made it really uncomfortable having a shower because it was like an ice block and you couldn't leave the door open because the cold came into the bedroom making that room cold but apart from that it was lovely.

1 hour breakfast

Breakfast is only served for 1 hour. The windows in my room rsttled all night keeping me awake. They also did not lock, anybody could walk along the flat room outside the window and enter my room. Did not feel safe.

Lovely quiet location with easy parking. Although obviously an old building, the communal areas are reasonably updated. The staff I thought were without exception very nice and service-conscious. Food was lovely too and good value. A bit of a general smell in the corridors, of foist just about covered up by cleaning products. It may bother some.
