If you can, ask for a room on any side other than the east side. There are noisy trucks that come down that street in the morning and they’ll wake you up if you don’t have a sound machine.

The room was clean and comfy! The only thing we would have changed is that the shower didn’t drain which is a huge bummer for me. They did send someone up immediately when we called the front desk and he cleaned out the drain but it still wasn’t able to keep up very well (401). The lobby, rooms and bar/restaurant are very nice- rehabbed but with historic and charming details. Very pet friendly and a wonderful group of people staffing this place. The location cannot be beat if you’re in town for the arch or a baseball game. Walk to many dining and entertainment options. We’d stay again if we’re in St Louis hanging downtown!

I told Expedia that, due to a family emergency, I could not make the trip. Expedia told me the hotel would not pay my money back. The hotel told me that they were fine with Expedia paying e my money back. So, I did not get my money paid back. Never using Expedia again.

We loved this hotel. They were very friendly for our dog and even gave her dog biscuit treats. We got upgraded to a late check out and walked down to City Museum. The neighborhood felt safe and we had a great breakfast on the way.

We almost canceled due to some other reviews but glad we didn't. The hotel is an older, historic hotel with a beautiful lobby. Our room was comfortable, spacious and well appointed. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Parking is available cheaper in parking garage that is very easily walkable a block behind the hotel, rather than using the valet service. Will definitely be staying again.
