This was a great place to stay. We really loved our short stay. Great location, easy walking to most things. The staff was helpful and polite. Breakfast was small, but good.

Good location

Lovely stay in hotel Secreto. Staff excellent. Within walking distance to restaurants. Provided info on different trips. We did the night tour which was fabulous and also La Fortuna waterfall. Stayed for 2 nights.

The idea of this hotel is lovely- a tropical oasis with well planted gardens on the edge of the very busy town of La Fortuna, 5 mins walk to the main streets. The rooms are fine and spacious. The main problem is that the pool is tiny (more of a bath and crowded with children most of the day). If you don’t need a pool and want a base for exploring La Fortuna and the adventure activities in the region then the hotel is good. If relaxing by a pool is more your thing then this isn’t the place.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The location was perfect—convenient and close to everything I wanted to explore. I also really enjoyed the breakfast; it was fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Appreciated the 3 choice options and self help coffee for breakfast. It was easy to enjoy a full hot breakfast and coffee without feeling rushed for shuttles Fabricio was helpful giving tips on what restaurants were nearby and good. Loved the free wifi. The room was large and clean. Enjoyed the patio overlooking the garden and pool area. Loved the clothing rack on our patio to hang wet suits and towels.

The hotel was decent but a few things were not great: pool was closed for repairs, very poor lighting in room, very little furniture in room, forbidden to flush toilet paper down the toilet (!!). But the gardens were nice, breakfast good, beds comfortable, AC good and staff friendly.

The room was clean, great view of Arenal, property was cute with the lush greenery. Soaker pool was being repaired but the kids enjoyed the other small pool. Breakfast was a plus! Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

What a GEM of a hotel! Even better than the pictures. The grounds are so beautiful with lots of flowering plants. We saw a Toucan and 3 Sloths! The Staff was very helpful with spotting the Sloths plus Coffee tour and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was fantastic! We only had two nights here but wished we had a longer stay. Incredible value. My favorite part was sitting outside the room with my binoculars looking at a large Sloth that stayed in the same spot our whole stay! Also nice to be able to walk everywhere. Highlight of our Costa Rica adventure.

Comfy spacious & clean

Lovely staff, great bed & pillows ! Large & spacious rooms with a fridge & AC. Great views & lovely gardens with plenty of birds. Pool are could do with a little attention but still great to cool down.
