Welcome to La Jolla's exclusive Upper Muirlands, where this spacious 3,700 sq. ft. hillside retreat sits on over half an acre surrounded by luxury homes and sweeping canyon and Pacific Ocean views. Designed with a blend of Southwest, modern, and traditional styles, the home features 3 bedrooms, including 1 king suite and 2 queen bedrooms, along with 2 full bathrooms. The light-filled main living area offers wall-to-wall windows, skylights, large sofas, and an 86” smart TV, while the chef's kitchen includes high-end appliances, a six-burner gas range with griddle, double-door refrigerator, and coffee station. Sliding glass doors open to a 750 sq. ft. ocean-view patio with outdoor dining, lounge seating, umbrellas, and a gas grill for seamless indoor-outdoor living. The lower level includes a fully equipped game room with a pool table, shuffleboard, pinball machine, dartboard, board games, a 76” TV, a wet bar, and direct access to a fenced backyard with bocce, croquet, badminton, and bean toss. Ideally located within minutes of La Jolla Shores, Bird Rock, Pacific Beach, Torrey Pines, and major San Diego attractions. House rules include no smoking, no pets, no events, 2-car parking, quiet hours (10 PM–7 AM), and a minimum renter age of 25 with required verification and a signed rental agreement.

Just One Thing Missing

There is no Master Bedroom available in this house! In renting vacation houses for 30 years we've never had that happen before, so it wasn't on my list of 'must haves' to look for in the listing. In reviewing the BDRM photos, all are marked 'Room'. They all turned out to be standard / kids bedrooms & the real Master BDRM was marked 'Owner's Closet' & was locked. One of the smaller ones did have a Jack & Jill type bath that was shared with the Game Rm. This nice a property would be expected to have a M BDRM. If it didn't, it should have been mentioned in the property description. I can only think of one reason it wasn't- To deceive prospective guests. Had we realized, we would have selected another place.On the 'Up' side- The house was otherwise very nice. We were not effected by the lack of AC, which we did anticipate because it is not listed under the amenities, but was strange nonetheless. The Kitchen was super nice & every bit as well done & well appointed as advertised. And the highlight of the house was the very well equipped Game Room, which had views, a wet bar with ice maker, large screen TV with audio system, a full size shuffleboard table, deluxe pool table, darts, a pinball machine, chess, & box games.One last note- The baths available for the BDRMS both have nice showers but both have rounded pebble stone floors which, although they look nice, concentrate your entire weight on small portions of your feet which can be painful. Bring thongs!

Stunning views and spacious home

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Real, our family of 4 had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the many games and activities available in the home. The views are breathtaking, the location is perfect being very close to many shops and restaurants in La Jolla, but far enough away from town to not feel overwhelmed by people. The kitchen has everything needed to cook as much as you'd like, we were able to grill on the gorgeous patio one evening. We had great response from the management when the neighborhood lost power, a representative was at the house very quickly trying to help us in any way they could! Overall the location, the comfort, the views and the support make this a wonderful home to stay in. Highly recommend!
