The property is showing its age. The toilet water has an unpleasant odor. The AC also made a terrible whistling sound all night. This made sleep uncomfortable. The Front Desk and the day time bartender were very accommodating and hospitable.

SHOREGATE HOTEL - Disappointed BIG TIME

This is so NOT WORTH the cost of the hotel. It was really poor and I wish I had an alternative for the time.

There was no backup water supply when the facility needed to shut off the water to the rooms for an emergency repair on Friday, April 18, 2025. This issue caused a significant delay in my activities during this trip. Except for a minor maintenance concern (e.g., what appears to be water stains on the ceilings), my overall stay at this hotel was excellent. The hotel staff members were friendly and nice.

The mattress was extremely soft and that's a deal breaker for me. Booked 2 nights but left without a refund after the first since I didn't sleep a wink. Obviously won't recommend but if you need/want soft mattresses, it's a solid, functional option for the price.
