Property was old but fairly kept up. Stayed on the second floor in building C in a large balcony room. It was nicely remodeled but the floor was soft in many places. The property has a lot of flowers and foliage that's really nice surrounding it. The air conditioning was extremely loud. There were a lot of people, including staff members, talking early in the morning that woke me up along with loud busy road noise. Was a little bewildered when I got an email telling me that if I wasn't there by 7:00pm there was a chance I wouldn't be able to check in which didn't make any sense to me and caused me to drive 25 minutes from where I was just to check in which ruined the whole night for us. I would have liked to have stayed down by the ocean which is why I came to town but with the threats to lose my room, I had to rush in and check in. That's why only two stars for staff that threaten to take your room away when you already have a guarantee on the room with a credit card. For that reason alone I'll never stay here again. Conveniently located to everything but not close to the beach. Breakfast was okay.

I didn't stay and moved to another hotel. The grounds are nice but the rooms and halls are old and had a smell that made me feel sick. Its like they put lipstck on a pig. Just very dated and has a vibe of not being clean. It could be me but that was my reaction. I didnt want to stay.

Great hotel with a great location

My partner and I wanted to take a trip to Thousand Steps Beach and I chose this hotel to stay at during our stay (coming from Utah). The hotel is a bit older, but they keep it very well maintained and is very nice. Rooms are super quiet and well laid out. Great dining options and stores within walking distance. Also was only $23 to take an uber to the beach and leave my car behind (while there is plenty of parking, it does get a little cramped towards the evening). The staff is very nice and very helpful. I have already told a few people about this place and I would highly recommend it. The only “con” is the bathroom is a bit small, which might be a bit inconvenient depending on your size (my partner is 5’11” and 230 and he was struggling a bit with how small the bathroom was). Otherwise, great place to stay.
