The beauty of the Ka'annapali Beach is so spectacular it is hard to capture in photos, and the Hyatt Residence Club property sits right on this very beach. This is a beach that is perfect for both an adult only vacation or that for families.
The HRC grounds are maintained to perfection and we’re certain you’ll agree that the HRC grounds are the nicest you’ll find on this wonderful stretch of sand. The grounds of the HRC allow visitors to enjoy the native landscape of Maui while enjoying watching Koi in a pond filled with lily pads. Flowers and local vegetation grow along paths that meander through the property. The pool is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of distinct areas designed for specific travelers - a wading pool for young children, a large pool for those of all ages, a small water slide, a lagoon which connects all the pools together, and for those looking to escape the sound of children there is a completely separate adult-only infinity pool overlooking the ocean. There are also several hot tubs - both for those with children and for adults-only, too. Or, you can forgo the pool and find a spot on the beach or in the luxury beach cabanas, if those are more your fancy, which can be rented from the towel hut. Rental of a cabana comes with fruit and water, as well as a server from whom you can order additional food or drinks. Right off of the pool and steps away from the beach there is a Tiki Bar where you can enjoy a drink or a delicious lunch or dinner while overlooking the ocean. In addition, there is a grassy field where games can be played such as basketball, volleyball, and put put golf.
All rooms offer you the greatest comfort for your week away from home. Your condo will be located on floors 8-12 (we cannot guarantee room number, only that you will be on the top floors of the building - offering the best views). In your condo, you will be greeted with a foyer to hold all of your pool and beach supplies/toys. Off the foyer is the smaller of the two bedrooms which hold a queen size bed and a large chair that pulls out into a twin size bed. Off the bedroom is a bathroom and laundry closet with both washer and dryer. As you continue to walk from the foyer you enter into the great room which extends onto the lanai that overlooks the ocean. You will find your full kitchen in the great room with every tool and gadget needed to cook. The kitchen bar seats four and there is a dining table that seats six, and a living room with a queen sleeper sofa.
One of our favorite details is the accordion style doors off the living room which open the entire living room onto the lanai - offering a full indoor/outdoor living experience. On the lanai there is a lounge chair/couch, comfortable seats and a dining table to accommodate four. Off the living room is the master bedroom which also overlooks the water and has a patio door onto the lanai as well. In the master you will enjoy a king sized bed and ensuite bath with double vanities, a soaker tub, and shower.
From the HRC you can take a short ten to fifteen minute stroll down the oceanfront walkway into Whalers Village which offers world class shopping and dining. On your way, take a detour to Starbucks at the Marriott property next door. Another option if walking is not feasible, is the local trolley which picks up outside the HRC. This trolley will take you straight to Whalers Village and many other areas in the Ka’annapali area.
As a guest of the HRC you will also be able to take advantage of all pools and amenities offered next door at the Hyatt Regency. There is a large water slide at this property that children enjoy as well as the best shaved ice on the beach! After a long day of sightseeing, or playing by the pool, take in the most fantastic sunsets from the comfort of your condo, on a lounge chair in the beautiful lobby of the Hyatt, or while eating at Japengo (our favorite!). In the morning, if you do not feel like cooking from your full kitchen and eating on your large lanai while viewing the ocean, there is a café on the property called the Lahaina Provisions Company in which you can order a locally sourced breakfast or smoothie and coffee or deli items for lunch.
