Hickory Nut Lodge - A Great Place to Stay

Fantastic home! There are 3 floors, with relaxing areas on each floor. Plenty of room for everyone. The game room on the lowest level made evenings very enjoyable, whether playing cards or foosball. The view is absolutely breathtaking from the two upper floors and it's so quiet outside. When we return to Lake Lure, we will check a date so we stay at the Hickory Nut Lodge.

This place was ideal. Each couple, person had his own bedroom with bath. That was primary. The location was great, close to everything. the only thing I would have liked would be able to do some walking outside. We had a great time.

Our family (Asheville, Seattle & Atlanta) had a wonderful stay at Hickory Nut Gap Lodge! The view "grabbed" us as we walked in & the beautiful 3-story house had everything we could possible need, including a fun game room on the bottom level. Held a short family get together. We rented 3 places between the family members and chose Hickory Nut as the main get together place in the evenings. Worked out beautifully. Only downside: finding pots and pans, etc., in the kitchen’s lower dark corner cabinets. We really loved the house and it’s convenient location!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. The view is exceptional, the house feels like a home and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to comfortably cook meals if you want to stay in. Plenty of space for a family gathering! Jaw dropping scenery!

We opened the front door and there was a collective gasp. We have stayed in MANY mountain houses and have never had such a view. The house made visiting easier….gates and fun times on the lower level and the older set upstairs. We had a week’s stay there and it was wonderful.

Birthday get away

This was our second stay at this beautiful property. I brought my father and mother up for my dad’s 86th birthday! The view did not disappoint with the beautiful fall foliage. It was great for my parents because they were able to enjoy everything on one level. My husband and I used the downstairs bedroom. It was such a wonderful weekend. One of my favorite places to stay for sure!

A peaceful sanctuary with an awesome view!

So close to everything but a world away- this beautiful home was so comfortable and was everything we wanted; Gorgeous views with a level, concrete driveway for motorcycles. Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other beautiful mountain roads. Minutes from Chimney Rock, and Biltmore but away from highways. Well stocked kitchen, toasty fireplace and plenty of big tvs!! Loved it!
