The Lake Lure area is moving forward with a clear path toward renewal and reopening. The Town of Lake Lure has announced an official target date to fully reopen the lake for the 2026 summer season, beginning May 1, 2026, and restoration efforts are actively underway with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers following Hurricane Helene in October 2024.

Russell's Fort at White Oak Point is an authentic Revolutionary War Fort that consists of 3 stories, has an original hand-hewn log structure has been disassembled and restored by the hit TV series Barnwood Builders. The renovation of this fort, which was built in 1775, involved updating the home with all the modern amenities and latest technology, but keeping all the original historical beauty. With four bedrooms and four and a half baths, there will be plenty of room for up to 10 guests.

The Cabin at White Oak Point is a historic 1930's cabin that has been a successful vacation rental for almost 3 years! Original period hardwood floors run throughout, beautifully decorated with historic and mountain aesthetics, you'll immediately feel at home and relaxed. With 3 bedrooms & 2 full baths, this spectacular cabin offers plenty of sleeping arrangements for up to 3 couples

It's an easy walk between both structures, you will be afforded a cozy atmosphere where everyone is together, surrounded by natural light and the beauty of the lake. There is plenty of living space amongst them as well as fully equipped kitchens and high end appliances. Access to large screen tv's, high speed internet and a hot tub at will have everyone feeling right at home, you won't want to leave!

With hundreds of feet of lake frontage and tons of outdoor deck space affords plenty of room for members of your group to relax and soak up the sun. When everyone is ready for a cool down, there are plenty of outdoor toys to enjoy with a combination of kayaks and stand up paddle boards so everyone has a vessel for fun on the lake.
