We enjoyed our stay at the Residence Inn (Palmdale Marriot) over the Christmas Holiday. Positives: The property was nice overall (no mold in bathrooms!). The staff was amazing. Jessica and Terri were very professional, engaging, and above and beyond helpful with small issues. The breakfast staff (Donna and others) were very proud of their work in the breakfast area and made sure people were taken care of. Terrance took care of a late night noise issue promptly and efficiently. A couple of issues: doorknob/key issue (Terri showed us a trick until it could be fixed) and no hot water in our master bath. We kept leaving up our do not disturb sign so the staff was not able to make repairs promptly. The breakfast coffee was not pleasant, weak and lukewarm. Overall, the property was nice and this staff worked as a team and showed pride in their work.

While the room was in excellent condition and several staff members were helpful, my experience with the manager, Jessica, was highly unprofessional. She was dismissive and rude, refusing to take accountability for staff errors or demonstrate the leadership expected of her role.

I love Residence Inn, and I look for it every time I travel. This was probably one of the best I've stayed at: Comfortable, clean, spacious room, very kind and helpful staff. Good amenities nearby, including Slice House pizza (do yourself a favor and try it) and many other stores and restaurants. I was traveling for business so it was nice to have a good desk space and comfortable chair. I take good care of my car so parking is always important to me, and the parking lot was spacious and adequate. I would definitely stay here again!

Upon arrival staff was confused why we were only staying one night and made us feel wierd for being there. Breakfast was ok, there was eggs and english breakfast sandwiches with no meat. Just a sandwhich with egg and cheese. There was no meat to go with the breakfast. The kitchen was broken. At night we bought a steak and couldn't turn the electric stove off. The dial to the stove had blue painters tape on the inside of the dial and I had to use a butter knife to turn the dial in order to turn the stove off. Cleaning lady walked into the room at 10:00am while we were resting before check out. The dishwasher was leaking all over the kitchen so we had to stop it from washing our dishes. All in all my husband and I made the best of our stay because it was the first time we had a babysitter in 3 years. Sadly our stay was botched because we were given a horrible room based on our status.
