## Emplacement
Le Cannet is an important municipality in the Alpes-Maritimes region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. It takes place just two kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, bordering Cannes and Vallauris. Nicknamed the Madeira of France, it reveals a very beautiful panorama over the Lérins Islands off the coast.

Occupied since Roman times, the city of Le Cannet developed from the 15th century with the settlement of families coming from Italy at the request of the monks of Lérins. It gains its independence from Cannes and Mougins in 1774, by decree of Louis XVI, which allows its economic development from the following century. However, it was not until the beginning of the 20th century that Le Cannet revealed its current appearance.

Very touristy due to its geographical location and its weather, the town of Le Cannet is also appreciated for its rich architectural and historical heritage which brings it a great number of tourists during the beautiful season.
