Good standard for reasonable price

Everything one would expect from such a priced hotel. Everything clean, although not brand new but in a good condition. Excellent breakfast, tea and coffee bags in room everyday filled in enough amount. Appreciate openable window in room. Service was very helpful and warm. Only strange function of A/C just cooling or heating upon aouter temperature, not user control.of temperature just on /off manner.

OK but not great...

Rooms could really do with updating. Carpet peeling away from the walls, damage to furniture and cigarette holes in the curtains. Sheet was over the mattress topper, with nothing covering the actual mattress which wasn't particularly clean. It was fine for a night but very basic.

Enjoyable

Staff were all very helpful and attentive. Meals were not fine dining but good enough and good value. Breakfast was generous and a good range of options. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I have 2 other comments: the music playing constantly in the dining room was not to my taste but worse, it was really loud and intrusive which I really didnt want when I was eating. Second: I had occasion to ring reception from my room, twice and got no reply either time. I did mention this to the staff, and they were apologetic. I would definitely stay there again next time I’m in Leeds. I could walk to the City Centre easily, which was important to me.
