Lovingly crafted by renowned local architect and friend George Kavadas, this brand-new residence is a tranquil safe haven. Ideally located just a short drive from the town of Nidri and a stone’s throw away from an array of tavernas, the property is built on the waterfront overlooking picturesque Vlicho Bay and nestled into the traditional village of Geni. The thoughtful design draws on a variety of Mediterranean architectural elements, while gracefully showcasing prevailing modern lines.

The layout ensures absolute comfort for guests, complemented and highlighted by refined interior design. The airy white spaces feature hints of earthy tones throughout, reminiscent of Lefkadian beaches; pebbled on the East side of the island and sandy backed by white cliffs on the West coast. Bespoke wooden dining tables, ample lounging-seating areas and furniture showcasing materials such as wicker and wood are a constant reminder of slow living and exotic comfort. Every room stylishly combines decorative touches with relaxed functionality, and each bedroom has Coco-Mat mattresses for enhanced comfort - Coco-Mat is a Greek company committed to manufacturing the “best beds in the world in the most sustainable way possible”. The mattresses consist of multiple layers of 100% natural materials and provide the optimal support for the human body, without the use of metal springs. Villa Neaera is fully air-conditioned with a modern, integrated system and the temperature of each room can be individually set using a motion censored control panel.

There is a harmonious flow to the property which is elegantly set over four floors and at every opportunity directs your eye to the stunning view of the adjacent mountains and sparkling azure waters of the bay, dotted with yachts and fishing boats. You enter the villa into the lobby area and from here you can choose to take the steps up to the Master bedroom or down to the lounge, though perhaps you would prefer to ride in the elevator. Stopping at every floor, this feature is particularly tempting after a long day relaxing by the pool and ideal for transporting suitcases to the bedrooms with ease.

The spacious open-plan first floor features full length sliding windows leading to the pool terrace, a comfortable lounge, WC, large dining area and a more than fully equipped kitchen, all privileged to the artistic eye and high quality than runs throughout Neaera. Large stone floor tiles are continued from inside to outside, the effect is a tranquil unity of inner and outer space. The unique elevation of the pool terrace means that you can enjoy the view from the comfort of your sun lounger, with the added convenience of kitchen access to ensure that you are never far from a cool beverage. Shaded areas provide maximum comfort for outside dining or reclining on the corner sofa to read a book, and the infinity pool remains delightfully inviting at all times of the day. Whilst Neaera is a family friendly villa, it is worth noting that due to the swimming pool being located on the upper terrace and having an infinity edge we discourage small children as it may be dangerous and would not lend itself to a relaxing time for the parents.

Situated on the top floor the impressive master bedroom has a sitting area with comfy sofas, a super king size bed, 55” OLED smart tv with Netflix, walk in closet and en suite. A luxuriously spacious bathroom features a free-standing bathtub, twin shower and a glorious central ‘rain shower’ complete with mood lighting in the full rainbow spectrum and settings from ‘light mist’ to ‘monsoon’. The spectacular view is present at every turn, from the bed to the bathtub – a touch of decadence. Twin wash basins provide ample room for a couple side by side without getting under each other’s feet. A secluded master balcony is perfectly suited to early morning coffee or perhaps a glass of wine after dinner, taking in the twinkling lights of the yachts anchored in the bay and the surrounding tavernas.

The mezzanine floor features two private double bedrooms and a cinema room with comfy sofas, 65” tv and an array of games for entertainment. This floor could be perfectly suited to teenagers who want some space from mum and dad. Sliding glass doors lead from both bedrooms to a balcony/outdoor space which overlooks the lush green garden and beautiful bay. In addition, each room has a comfortable seating area, en suite shower room and generous wardrobe space providing everything required for an enjoyable stay.

On the garden level two twin bedrooms open out directly onto a private patio and large lawn area with fruit trees, and just beyond to a water-side comfy seating area. A path beside the water’s edge leads the way to fantastic neighboring taverna offering authentic Greek cuisine. Each of the garden rooms has a spacious en suite shower room, 48” OLED smart tv with Netflix and large sliding french windows for outdoor access. These bedrooms can also be made up as doubles if preferred. A fully equipped gym on this level gives fitness enthusiasts the opportunity to maintain their workout routines throughout their stay, featuring a running machine, a multigym, bench, yoga mats and weights. Access to a utility room with top quality Miele washer and drier enable guests to do a ‘mid-holiday’ wash if they wish to.
