Good location, short drive to Wilmington. A lot of places to eat around, Walmart across the street. Room was spotless. Service was really good. I arrived early and they were able to get a room available for me. The manager was super nice and helpful. Clean rooms and bathroom.

This hotel was pretty basic but clean and was close to shopping, great restaurants and downtown Wilmington. Breakfast was nothing fancy but still good. Loved that the lobby had plenty of sitting areas for us to relax, hang out with friends and play on the pool table. Kids liked the indoor pool as well. Staff was super helpful and friendly. If I had to say anything not so positive, we didn’t have any clean towels when we arrived(thankfully I noticed before I showered, honest mistake) and staff members smoking right outside the door by the elevators. Still glad I booked this one. We had a great weekend.

Solo Trip

My first trip since my husband passed last year. Everyone was so friendly. I loved getting a text once I was in my room asking for any questions or concerns. Just had a few and they were answered immediately. I also loved the boards that listed local eateries even something for a sweet tooth, what else was available to do beside going to the beach. No microwave or closet in the room but that didn’t hinder me. I loved the 24/7 coffee bar in the lobby. And the set up in the lobby allowed guests to mingle. You won’t go wrong with this hotel.

I’m typically a big fan of Tru by Hilton and often choose it over other hotel brands whenever I can. Unfortunately, this particular location didn’t quite meet the usual standard, though I’m hopeful these issues can be addressed moving forward. To start on a positive note, the staff who checked us in were incredibly kind and welcoming. However, there were a few concerns with our room. The AC didn’t seem to be working properly—it was very stuffy and took quite a while to cool down. Additionally, the trash cans had sticky residue at the bottom, the hand wash and body wash dispensers were empty, and the floors felt tacky, possibly due to the room temperature. On the bright side, the gym was well-equipped and the location was excellent. I do wish the breakfast offered more non-meat options, but overall, I believe with a few improvements, this location could be much better aligned with the Tru by Hilton experience I’ve come to appreciate.
