Beautiful Old House

Overall beautiful old house, very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately a lot of noise coming from the highway and train line which spoilt the serenity of the place.

Not bad at all

Clean and characters filled with most of what you need and suitable for pets ( dogs) it has an odd configuration, with the t. Room only accessible by going outside along the veranda and it's right in the Maine t to the . Nonetheless the bedrooms are quiet and the guard large and pretty good really. Would I stay here again ? Probably .

Beautiful Getaway Historic Home in Leura

Very spacious property, large driveway and many outdoor areasto sit and soak in the sun. The home is a lovely restored Historic home with charm. We spent most of our evenings in the kitchen enjoying cheese platters & wines from our days adventures. Bed and rooms are comfy. Excellent indoor heating for Winter.

Beautiful & clean restored 1917 home. Has everything you need to spend quality time with good people

Beautiful big, lovingly restored, warm and clean 1917 home. Perfect place for hanging out on cold winter nights cooking and enjoying friendships. Close to Leura town mall for a lovely SPARROWS coffee and breakfast or lunch and a browse through the shops, and close to many beautiful walks and views.

Review - disappointing and dangerous

Very disappointing as so dirty and dangerous conditions. The main bathroom has a severe drainage problem and is very poor as the whole bathroom area floods and flows through to the downstairs ceiling and floor area. Veranda areas were all very dirty. Tried to clean but in the end avoided using. The BBQ was not only unusable but dangerous. Grounds were unkempt, outside furniture was dirty and there were spiders everywhere. The steep paths are covered in black mould - very slippery and need water blasting to clean. Unfortunately had a very very bad fall and looking at critical medical care now for lower back and head injury. The downstairs areas are not only dirty but laundry areas posed dangerous electrical shock risk. The house is very much in need of some TLC.

Great Property Manager

Lock on gate was put on incorrectly therefore we couldn’t open it without jumping the fence! Property was filthy at front door, complete with possum poo! The property had not been serviced. Was a mess, rubbish & towels left around. Fortunately the property manager was great & quickly moved us to another property that was clean, cozy & big. Also allowed us a late checkout. Thanks Rob. You made a disastrous beginning, into a relaxing weekend!

Beautiful home - so clean and modern.

This property is a beautiful home, the attention to detail inside the home is lovely and the property was sparkling clean. We had a lovely stay. Central heating was absolutely lovely as was the open fire place. Only thing a bit odd was the TV room was a separate room off the porch and away from the main bit of the house. This might be a good thing if you want to get the kids away from the adults! Didn't really both us. Also the traffic noise, although dulled when doors shut - you can definitely still hear the trucks go by day and night. Again, didn't really both us. A lovely stay overall.

Lovely place

Lovely place to stay and even though close to highway once inside you hardly hear the traffic. Shame the central heating wasn’t working but the heaters in the rooms kept the place snug. Great for a girls weekend.

The space given for 5 people was great and the bonus of having a fire place made it really special. The high quality fixtures and bedding was lovely and even though temperatures dropped outside to 2 degrees you wouldn’t know it from inside the home

Central heating

Despite being mid March, the weather was absolutely freezing when we stayed at Hailsham House. But the central heating is superb and we felt super snug and cosy in this property. We did not notice the road noise and this aspect was fine (the main road is pretty close). Overall we really enjoyed the stay.

The perfect cosy and peaceful house for a refreshing time away.

I would definitely recommend this property to stay. It is classic and stylish home that is warm in winter and has all the utilities needed. The home owner was very helpful to communicate with in arrange the stay, helping check in be smooth and also allowed additional time for check out which was appreciated.

Charming & Beautiful

A lovely home with all the comforts needed for a weekend away. The cleanliness was of high standards. Location was great near Leura Mall. The check in process was easy and the owners accommodated each request, even updating us on weather and road conditions due to snow on our day of arrival. We all had a wonderful experience and we will definitely book again!

Lovely Leura

Very well equipped house for a family, plenty of crockery, bedding etc. Heating was excellent and when we had an issue they came to sort it straight away. It was great to have a nice pet friendly option. Traffic was annoying at times and my husband would have liked a tv in one of the main rooms.

Beautiful home.

Lovely property and enjoyed our stay. Property very close to highway and quite noisy at night in back bedroom. Only downside was no TV in loungeroom - only TV was in a little room entered via outside balcony. Very cold in that room in middle of winter and a long way from kitchen/loungeroom for small children. Not ideal.

Absolutely wonderful!

The home was very comfortable and full of character, clean and well-cared for. There’s 3 sizeable bedrooms, the main having w-in- robe and en-suite. An extra sofa bed in the sunroom allowed for more guests. Two modern bathrooms inside and one outside made life easier for six or eight people. The grounds were beautiful with gardens, trees, a bbq, areas to sit and lots for children to explore. We loved its convenient location near the interesting and cultural Leura Mall with easy access to other amazing Blue Mountains scenery, cafes and places of interest. Despite its closeness to roads and rail the home is in a valley so it was quiet and peaceful. With a modern eat in kitchen, complete with window seat, and separate lounge/dining room there was plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed a wonderful week with family and friends and we’re very comfortable despite the changing mountains weather in Summer and will certainly plan a return stay. We are even contemplating a Winter getaway to make use of the charming wood fire. Thankyou again for a great stay!

Nicely restored home for 4 - tricky for young or old

Clean house but probably better suited for winter visit as it hasn’t a great outdoor space and too noisy right next to the road. Close to town of Leura. Tricky access as concrete steps/lack of handrails make it unsuitable for older adults or younger children.
