A beautiful place in a medieval village in the hills - peace, stunning views, and only 4k from sea

What a wonderful place to stay in this beautiful 11th century house which has been lovingly restored to include modern amenities. We received a warm welcome from Alberto, who came to meet us at the station in Levanto so he could drive with us up to Chieso Nuova, which is about 4km outside of Levanto. The house is just beautiful. It is so peaceful. Cicadas at night, the beautiful church bells by day, and the sounds of village life. The views are wonderful, across the valley to the other villages clinging to the hillside. There are lots of spaces to sit outside - 3 terraces and a little garden - so you can always find sun or shade as you prefer. The sunset view from the roof terrace is wonderful. There also several inside seating areas. There is a plenty of room! The village is beautiful, but does not have any amenities. There is a very small exclusive 6 roomed hotel - La Sosta Di Ottone III - where you can dine, but we cooked for ourselves or ate in Levanto. Please note if you plan to cook that there is no kettle, and you need to buy everything including salt, pepper, washing up liquid. We walked to Levanto several times, but would only recommend for those who are fairly fit as it in part on a narrow track. We didn't attempt to walk back again as it would have been all up hill. There is a bus service, which runs about 4 times a day, and a few more buses to Legnaro which stop a few hundred meters short and you can walk up the hill to Chiesa Nouva. Its cheapest to buy tickets in advance at tourist info at the rail station. We had a car for which we were grateful. Our friends were happy driving around hairpin bends so that was good! We would recommend a sunset boat trip with Marco (who is on the beach near the jetty). We did go to Cinque Terre but it was very busy and commercialised which was disappointing. We also hired cycles from Jock at SurfLevanto on Via Giuseppe Garibaldi and cycled though the tunnels along the old railway line to Bonnosola and Framura. Particular pleasant on a hot day as it is cool in the tunnels. The free beach near the jetty in Levanto is excellent - sandy, sheltered, and great snorkling along the stone groyne which creates the little harbour. There are loads of places to eat, some little shops and two supermarkets. Conrad City is best, but Sisa has free parking while you shop. Parking in Levanto is expensive - 2 euros and hour. Also recommend to take mosquito repellent and some antihistamine for any bites.

Charming house in peaceful surroundings but with easy access to the Cinque Terre

We enjoyed a lovely week near Levanto in this clean and well fitted house with beautiful views of the hills and nearby villages. Graziella, her husband and son Alberto, were very kind and helpful. The location is perfect if you want to have easy access to the 5Terre and the train. Levanto is the last station at the end of the 5Terre line. Also very accessible to Portofino, La Spezia and Portovenere which are worth the visit. We enjoyed that the house is away from the tourist area of the 5Terre and so is a quiet retreat in the evenings, if you so wish. Charmed by the church bells locally and in the distance. You may need ear plugs for the early morning chimes! The only slight negative we had were the beds, a little hard or narrow for us. We walked miles in the area and climbed many steps! Certainly a place to get fit. Levanto itself, is a lovely community town with a great beach. There is a very pleasant, easy coastal walk to neighbouring Bonassola which is also pretty little town and provides good views back to Levanto. For us, this stay in Levanto was excellent, we can highly recommend it and will do so to our friends and families.

Rustikt byrækkehus i lille rolig landsby

Hyggeligt og enkelt hus med god plads til en familie på 4. Vi opholdte os mest udenfor på en af husets terrasser. Meget autentisk lille by som man bor midt i - og ved siden af byens lille kirke. Byen kan virke lidt forladt men man fornemmer hurtigt livet bad skodder og døre. Man bor midt i det og byens beboere hilser pænt og vil gerne tale - helst på italiensk😀 Vi opholdt mest ude på en af husets terrasser. Der er en rigtig fin udsigt ned over landskabet mod Levanto og havet. Der var meget varmt i den periode vi boede i huset og savnede virkelig elektriske ventilatorer til natten, da huset ikke har aircon. Der er desværre ingen havemøbler på den store tagterrasse. Den har derfor ikke rigtig en værdi. Det er virkelig en skam da man slet ikke kan udnytte den til afslapning, et glas vin, en lur på en solseng eller nyde udsigten fra en god havestol. Vi nød meget strandene i Levanto. Og byen, som ikke er overfyldt med turister. Nemt at finde parkering, men meget dyrt at parkere. En solnedgangssejltur fra Levanto med Marco er virkelig anbefalelsesværdig. Vi havde en dejlig ferie i uge 27. Vi håber at vende tilbage til Levanto.

Tolles Haus mit tollem Vermieter

Das Haus ist nicht nur wegen der tollen Lage mit Blick bis Levanto ein klasse Urlaubsdomizil, es ist auch mit Blick für seine Geschichte hergerichtet. Vermieter Alberto stand mit ausgesprochener Herzlichkeit und Engagement zur Verfügung und die verschiedenen Terrassen waren ideal. Ein sehr ruhiges und erholsames Wohnen in Chiesanuova und bis Levanto ist es mit dem Auto nicht weit. Für uns eine tolle Unterkunft, die wir sicher noch einmal buchen werden! Grazie mille, Alberto!

Prima vakantiehuis in rustig dorpje

Keurig ruim huis in een klein plaatsje vlakbij Levanto. Het huis beschikt over 3 terrassen waar je heerlijk kunt zitten. Het dakterras geeft een prachtig uitzicht, ook de zee bij Levanto is te zien. Cinque terre is goed te bereiken met de trein vanuit Levanto.

Geräumiges und praktisches Haus in ruhiger Lage mit traumhafter Aussicht

Die Wohnung liegt mitten in einem sehr ruhigen Bergdorf. Mit dem Auto kann Levanto mit seinen vielfältigen Einkaufs- und Freizeitmöglichkeiten sowie sehr schönem Strand in wenigen Minuten erreicht werden, zur Autobahn dauert es ca. 20 Minuten. Mehrmals am Tag fährt auch ein Bus nach Levanto, eine Taxifahrt kostet 15 Euro. Das Haus ist praktisch eingerichtet, sauber und hat eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Die Terrassen bieten alle herrliche Ausblicke über das Tal. Der hübsche Garten eignet sich zum Spielen und Entdecken für Kinder oder zum Entspannen. Mückenspray ist allerdings zu jeder Tageszeit empfehlenswert, die meisten Zimmer haben sinnvollerweise Mückengitter. Man kann mehrere schöne Wanderungen direkt am Haus starten, etwa über Fontona nach Monterosso oder Levanto. Allerdings muss man sich auf den schönen und meist schattigen Verbindungswegen zwischen den Dörfern manchmal durch dichten Bewuchs kämpfen. Wir haben hier als Familie einen herrlichen Urlaub verbracht und können dieses Haus und den sehr freundlichen Vermieter wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Prachtige woning op idyllische plek

Mooie ruime woning in een heel klein gehuchtje naast de kerk waar we met plezier verbleven hebben. Goede gastheer die ons verwelkomde en ook onderweg per whatsap al contact zocht. Bedden vond ik persoonlijk wat minder maar ik ben dan ook een boxspring gewend. Alles moet wel met de auto worden gedaan maar het is een prima basis om cinque terre te ontdekken. Huis was erg schoon en heeft meerdere terrassen. Wij hebben ons met onze 2 kinderen erg goed vermaakt!

Nous avons été accueilli par Alberto personne très sympathique. Nous avons fait aussi connaissance de ses parents, ce sont des personnes charmantes. La location est tout simplement parfaite, très bonne état général, avec une magnifique vue sur les collines et la mer lieu idéale pour se reposer après avoir marchés pendant de longues heures.Bien située elle est à environs 8 minute en voiture de Levanto point de départ pour visiter les cinq terre. Nous garderons un souvenir inoubliable de notre séjour. Nous reviendrons très certainement. Encore un grand merci à Alberto et ses parents. Béatrice et Gianni

Une seule envie : y retourner !

Que dire sinon que tout était parfait. Dîner (ou petit-déjeuner) sur la terrasse tandis que le soleil se couche derrière le village voisin de Legnaro et que résonne le carillon des églises avoisinantes a de quoi combler l'amateur de bucolique et de romantisme. Sans oublier l'accueil très chaleureux d'Alberto (et ses parents). Merci à lui (eux) de nous avoir permis d'apprécier ce petit coin de paradis.
