Room they gave us didn't have AC. To get one with AC, i had to pay an upgrade fee, totaling $50 for the two nights. The new room had AC but no king bed like we reserved. Instead we got two twin beds that were practically just foam. No firmness at all. Perhaps, that's all they had to give us of the rooms that were left. Also, no breakfast or pool. That said, the staff were really nice.

Great kamaaiana hotel! All these years when we would stop by Hamura Saimin we noticed this hotel around the corner. We only stayed one night but I loved the old Hawaiian feel. The room was very clean and well supplied. It is a very quaint Hawaiian hotel in a quiet part of town. The staff was very helpful. Our plane was delayed 3 hours so we checked in after staff went home but we met them in the am. Very nice. The only thing I would've like to have information in the "book" was where the ice machine was. We couldn't ask anyone and there were no directions in the booklet except that there was one on property. I like to have ice in my water. But it did not affect our stay. We would definitely stay again. It's a very well maintained hotel.

Room is tiny and outdated. Shower is tiny with slippery tile steps leading to it. Towels are thin and a little bigger than a hand towel. Walls are thin. You hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms. Everything. I requested no bottom room and despite making the res months earlier wasbplaced in a bottom floor on the farthest emd of the property. It is located in an industrial area.
