First impression was a beautiful hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. Bar area looked great offering cocktails. Lovely foyer/reception area. Room was clean and had all we needed overlooking the river. Bathroom a bit tired, wire hanging below bath panel. Door very worn. Difficult to get shower temp right - either scalding hot or cold! Howver overall our stay was great and i would return and also recommend.

Disappointing

All very lovely when you walk into the entrance but the room was not in the cleanest of states so when I went down to complain I was met by two receptionists who said “well you paid for a standard room” and my response was that that was no excuse for a dirty room so another very lovely receptionist took me to look at other rooms and found one that appeared much cleaner but was told it would be an extra £60 so I paid that but it turned out the beds were not balanced , the tv wasn’t working and the kettle was dangerous and had the wire taped. Maintenance was called and they rectified the issues however waiting for them and unable to relax was not the stay we’d wanted. Beds awful pillows not comfy but I guess that’s what they call standard class these days even when you pay extra for a so called upgraded room
