The Lake Escape Cottage

The lake is at your door step with a short stroll to the Entrance for brunch or dinner. Or for the more energetic there are 12 kms of waterfront bicycle paths to explore.

This renovated sixties 4 bedroom house is 2 minutes walk to the lake. It has a sunny open plan living space opening out onto a deck and sunny private fully fenced garden. It is perfect for families or weekenders to come and chill out.

Accommodation

The house has 4 bedrooms. The first has a very comfortable queen sized bed. The second bedroom has a double bed. The third bedroom has two sets of bunks. At the end of this room there is another bedroom with a double bed. All mattresses are clean and of excellent quality. The house sleeps 4-5 adults and up to 5 children. Suitable for two families or two couples or a holiday with the grandparents! The dining and outdoor settings seat 8, with extra chairs available.

There is a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dishwasher, cooktop and Elextrolux oven and a good supply of cookware, glassware, plates and servery.

The house is provided with doonas and pillows and their covers, as well as tea towels. All of the linen is good quality and most of it is 100% cotton.

There is a selection of children's toys and books and a level grassed area and covered patio area with a large outdoor dining table. There is a gas BBQ next to the back patio.


Pet Friendly

Pets are welcome at the Lake Escape Cottage, so long as they don't go on the beds & furniture.

The back yard is fully fenced, with full height fences on all sides and a high side gate with spring closer. The front fly screen also has a door closer to block any surprise exits.

The side deck has also had wire mesh installed underneath to keep the area enclosed, if your pet hops down in the garden to explore.

The back yard is big enough for a small to medium sized dog to explore. The yard can also cater for a larger dog, but you will probably need to use the lake side walking tracks to keep them well exercised.

Please bring your own dog bedding. There is also a dog kennel, food & water bowls.

The house as always is perfect. We loved the new fridge and small upgrades made since we were there last. The kitchen was well stocked, with the shops (Aldi/coles/woolworths) so close, we could save money by not having to eat out. We love staying here because our two dogs love the space. Our oldest pup (9) had the biggest zoomies when he realised where we were and it meant that we were going to be swimming at the beaches and walking along the lake.This place is really a home away from home.

The home was dog friendly. Children enjoyed the lego. Kitchen, bathroom and laundry set up well. Host communicated well, a print out of clear and step by step instructions were provided. However, the down side was the cleanliness. When arrived we found wet towels on clothes rack in laundry. Bins were full. Some of the towels left out for us to use were dirty. Used tissues found on top of book shelves. Dead cockroach on the floor, dust under beds and lounges. The worst situation was when our 20month old toddler found a medical tablet on the floor.

This is a great place to stay, immaculate, beautifully styled house with everything you might need….. and more!The garden provides complete privacy to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting and the house is so close to some great Long Jetty cafes like the Green Tangerine.

Fabulous cottage close to lake & beaches

The cottage was clean, spacious & had just about everything you could need. Was in a quiet area, located one street back from the lake & its walking/bike track & only a short stroll or drive to Long Jetty shops & cafes or The Entrance. Checking in & finding everything in the property was a breeze. Peter was a fantastic host with great communication. Highly recommend this property & look forward to staying here again.

Lake house

The house is located in a convenient location for beaches, walks, cafes and restaurants. The decor in the house fits the beach holiday feel. The chairs are comfortable, as are the beds. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The bathroom is new. There are several areas for eati g and socialising inside and out. The garden was perfect for my dog. We all had a lovely holiday. I would book again.

Loved the place!

Great house, very clean, chihuahua proof fences, was even allowed to bring my pet bird. Good communication from the host. Super quiet area but still close to everything. House had everything we needed for us and our doggo and I’ll say again super clean, prob cleanest holiday house we’ve stayed at. There is an odd step up and down between rooms if travelling with an elderly family member but not big steps.
