Ready for the country life?... After a hike on the Appalachian Trail, a float down the Shenandoah River, or just a lazy day around the house, kick off your shoes and enjoy the beautiful view with some sweet tea on the porch, or a soak in the clawfoot tub. Dine downtown on Main St., or cook from your garden to table at home (in season), and then enjoy s'mores at the firepit, under the stars. Don't forget the Caverns, the shops in Luray, and of course, watch Tipper & Russell, Pansy &Petunia (our pekin ducks) swim & preen themselves in the small pond…it's all here, waiting for you. At the Farmhouse, you'll feel like a local.

The kitchen is well appointed with everything you might need, the views are magnificent, it was clean, and my son enjoyed the animals. Lisa was very helpful and friendly. We hope to come back soon!

This is the first time I’ve stayed away from home and felt like I was at home. All of my expectations were exceeded. The farmhouse is immaculate. The living room is so cozy, the beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated. Our bathrooms had plenty of towels and liquid soaps. Lisa’s kitchen was well stocked with pots&pans, serving dishes, coffee pots and coffee pods. We dined at home with ease. Lisa’s mom’s homemaker cookies greeted us and it was so welcoming. The back porch had a table and chairs and plenty of rockers. My sister wanted to spend the night in the porch and Lisa found a blow-up mattress for her. Our 9-year old LOVED helping Lisa with the ducks, bunnies and kitty. There was lots of space to run and play and toys for the family to enjoy.We put the together 5 puzzles and the large dining table in the home allowed us to work around them.The area had wonderful restaurants and plenty of activities to enjoy. It’s well situated to grocery stores and major attractions. We stayed home a lot because we never wanted to leave her place.Lisa is the most accessible and accommodating host I’ve ever had and we can’t wait to return.I’ve already shared this fantastic find with my best friends. The farmhouse has everything you want when away from home — it’s clean, comfortable and lovely. And, the setting in the mountains surrounded by cornstalks is stunning.

This was THE PERFECT home base for our mountain vacation. We were close to all the hikes we wanted to do in the Blueridge mountains, plus we were near great biking, horseback riding, the caverns, the river and some great playgrounds. The house was perfect for our large group! It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Our kids loved playing outside and looking at the ducks and cat.

Perfect vacation house

The Farmhouse was beautifully restored with large rooms, a wonderful porch, a kitchen equipped for every need, and a table large enough to sit our 8 family members with room left over. My grandchildren loved the big lawn with the provided yard equipment and sprinkler. We all enjoyed the animals and fire pit. Our host was gracious and readily available, and we would love to return some day.

Gorgeous House inside and out

My family and I had an amazing time at this beautiful house. Lisa had thought of everything to make it feel like home. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to make breakfast and other meals if we wanted. We loved the fresh duck eggs from Pansy and Petunia and the supplies for the s'mores. Such a sweet surprise. Lisa was so communicative and so kind to our whole family. My kids loved feeding the animals with her in the mornings. The porch had an amazing view and it was so comfortable sitting on the rocking chairs enjoying the breeze. We also loved that it was so close to the town to get food if we wanted to. Lisa went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Thanks for everything. If we come back to this area, we will definitely stay here again!

Memorial Day Getaway

Charming spacious farmhouse with modern and welcoming touches including fresh flowers, plenty of extra towels, freshly baked cookies (yum!), toys for kids, beautiful, scenic views. Quiet and relaxing with many amenities provided for a great time. We all enjoyed the ducks and the rabbits, the S’mores and Miss Minnie (the cat.)

Beautiful and Bucolic

The Farmhouse is in a lovely, peaceful setting. The interior has been professionally designed and decorated. A well stocked kitchen and tons of towels in the bath add to your comfort. Fireplaces (gas log) in almost every room speak to the authenticity of the structure. The mattress in the downstairs bedroom is due for replacement but that is about the only thing that wasn't perfect. We enjoyed it immensely. Duffy Wooldridge

Little slice of Heaven

The house is absolutely beautiful! Amazing location and is the perfect size for a family get away. The house is clean and cozy. The beds are comfortable and the views are incredible. 100% the perfect choice for a family staying in Luray. The owner is very sweet and accommodating. Home Away from Home

The Farmhouse At The Grove offers all the amenities of a modern home with all of the peace and escape of living on a farm. The home is impeccably clean and has every possible amenity you could want. The views out every room are spectacular with sunsets, sunrises, fall, foliage, winter snow, And beautiful picturesque valley and Mountain Views. LIsa‘s hospitality is unmatched. The homemade cookies, firewood, kitties, bunnies, ducks, smores, candles, bubblebath, games - all create memorable experiences. This is our second time staying here. I joked with LIsa that I really don’t want to tell people how nice it is because it’ll make it harder to rent. But she deserves it. This is worth every penny.

Gorgeous, quiet getaway

This was the cleanest property we have ever rented before. Everything was just perfect. Lisa has thought of everything to make her guests comfortable. The mountain sunrise views are stunning and you can see it from the back porch and even the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with all types of cookware. The waffle maker was a nice surprise. The furniture and beds were comfortable. Check out was smooth and easy. I would highly recommend renting this lovely home for a visit to Luray.

Wonderful Fall Stay for a Wedding

My extended family stayed at Lisa’s beautifully renovated farmhouse this November for a cousin’s wedding. It is honestly the most relaxing and well maintained house I’ve ever rented. We cooked a full brunch in the kitchen why don’t you get on how to start with your cheeks I need you to chill out chill out or wet or should I change the TV to something you guys wanna watch bog her pants I think he just wants to people

The most perfect wedding ever

I had my (very small) wedding at the farmhouse with our close family and friends and the entire event was amazing and made perfect by the house and by Lisa. I cannot say enough good things about the beautiful property (unbelievably well renovated and comfortable), Lisa's outstanding hospitality and helpfulness, and how incredibly special it was to have our wedding there - a feeling shared and expressed repeatedly by everyone who joined us as well!

Beautiful Home - near Luray and Shenandoah

This was a fabulous home to host our girls weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed cooking, coffee around the cafe table in the kitchen, and games and means at the big dining room table. The property is absolutely beautiful as well, including the porch and firepit and farm animals! The home was spotless and lovely - beds were very comfortable and worked well for our group of 6 women. It is located just a few miles from downtown Luray, and about 30 minutes from the entrance to Shenandoah National Park. Our group also enjoyed the proximity to local wineries. Loved it so much that I'll probably bring my family back someday.

Microwedding at the Farmhouse

We held our microwedding (6 guests, bride and groom) at the farmhouse in October 2024 and had the BEST time. The house is unbelievably beautiful with more creature comforts than you could ever ask for. Three of the four bedrooms have a gas fireplace - cozying up with a book in front of the fire before bed was one of our favorite ways to wind down each night. The kitchen was extremely well equipped (there’s even a double-sided waffle iron) and got heavy usage over the course of the weekend. Many people in our party even commented that they’d love to cook Thanksgiving dinner in the farmhouse kitchen. This is one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at, and I’m not just saying that because I got married here. Every detail has been so well thought out, and the scenery is the cherry on top!
