Great people try very hard with the business. Clean and comfy rooms. Accessibility an issue if needed but this is a lovely old pub building hence the rooms have beautiful window, Breakfast simple and great quality. Thank you and all the best. Peter

Lively, friendly pub with rooms around the corner from the main High St. Clean and tidy rooms. Good value. Limited parking when busy. As with rooms above pubs it is quite noisy but pretty well sound insulated and the pub closes relatively early. Staff were pleasant, helpful yet unintrusive. The room we had did not have main lighting so was very dark even with the side lights on and if you opened the blinds people on the street could see in - especially from the flat across the road. A net curtain, obscured window film or additional lighting would be useful.

Well worth a stay!

Boutique style decor with super comfy bedding. Great room (the old building let them down a bit, but they coped well around it). Staff really attentive & friendly, super helpful.

Nice rooms over a pub. Stayed here for convenience of getting to the Isle of Wight ferry. Very helpful staff. Good food and drinks Traveling with heavy luggage, beware- No elevator. Staff will help carry it! Would stay here again.

Bosuns Chair

Staff at the Hotel very welcoming and friendly. The yogurt was the best ever, locally produced with the fruit. The main dish was cooked to our choice and very tasty. Also the pizzas were exceptional and good choice of beverages. I will say although all the rooms were refurbished and clean you had to put your please clean the room card out or tell reception after breakfast otherwise it would not be done. The situ of the pub was ideal for walking around Lymington and Parking as well.

As others have said, great breakfast, very good service, comfortable bed and decent shower, as well as being very convenient for the town centre, quay and station. But room quite noisy both early in morning (6.30am) and later at night (past 10pm). First floor room was compact and the stairs a bit tight (partly spiral). Watch out for the pigeon dropping on the car if parking under the trees...

As maturer visitors, we found that having only one handrail on the stairs was challenging. An extra handrail would help. Other than that it was a great stay. If we are to return to the area the Bosuns Chair would be our first choice.

Kind and efficient staff

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Absolutely first class and couldn't be more helpful. Being elderly we found the stairs to the bedroom rather difficult. We had originally been put on the second floor but when the young lady checking us in saw our problem she immediately tried to get us moved to the first floor. We were very grateful.
