This house was in a wonderful location in Brignais. We could walk to the bakery, the cheese shop, the bus stop, the train station, all within a 5-minute walk. A ten-minute walk would take you to some lovely restaurants and a large grocery store. Disappointing was the condition of the property. It was not up to the standard I'd expected. There were empty wine bottles in the kitchen, and we had to wipe down the cupboards there as well. The kitchen was not fully equipped as advertised. I had to buy my own bread knife, for example, and here in France, where wine is treasured and beloved, there were three very small glasses, two matching. The utensils were old and very worn. The plumbing was substandard. The fireplace was stuffed with old newspapers and cardboard. All in all, not very welcoming. When I sent a complaint, I did eventually receive an answer, but it was too late to remedy the situation while we were there. It would not take much to attend to these household items and it would make this property a beautiful vacation home away from home.
