This rustic little cabin worked out very well for us - much better than staying in a hotel as we had our own space to cook, relax, play cards, etc. Loved that this cabin is right on the stream - you can hear the stream which is very soothing. Perfect sized property for two people. The bed was very comfortable. I could have used extra pillows for sleeping as I like to stuff them around me and there wasn't any extra available. The sheets were soft!. Loved sitting on the back porch and conducting a few phone calls while listening to the stream and rocking in the rocking chair. The coffee make and I didn't get a long well. Tried the Keurig pods and they made a mess every time. Finally worked out how to use coffee grounds without water and coffee grounds making a mess... I am sure user error!. There isn't a lot happening specifically in Maggie Valley but the location is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Smokey Mountain National Park, Waynesville, etc. There is a super cute womens boutique shop a couple miles away and was able to find some things there on our last day on the way out. I would stay here again if I was back in the area.
