Perfect for an early flight at Manchester airport.

We arrived with the fire alarm going off. It was extremely loud and a faulty sensor. We were checked in, issued with ear plugs and went up to our room. It was August and the room was very hot. We opened the window as far as it would go, then went down to the bar for a drink. The noise was deafenening so went into the beer garden outside. We had an early flight in the morning, but there was complimentary pastries, fruit, coffee and juice, which we grabbed to go.

The bins piled high with rubbish outside the hotel didn’t get my stay off to a good start ! The hotel is obviously very popular and busy but is in desperate need of a refresh . There are much better options for a similar price closer to the airport but I needed a room for 3 so gave this a try . The staff were lovely and the breakfast was fine but the room quality was poor.

Clean rooms, helpful staff, good breakfast

Very clean hotel, breakfast was very good. It was a very busy service, so the hot food was always fresh, the staff were friendly, cheerful and efficient, despite being clearly very busy. We checked in late at night and the woman on the desk was very cheerful and helpful. Another member of staff helped me to book a taxi back to the airport train station. The only thing about this hotel, is that it is not the Holiday Inn at the airport - it is a taxi ride away or a half hour walk, if you can cope for that far with kids and luggage. We took a taxi from the other Holiday Inn to this one. That was also cheaper, as there is a surcharge for getting a taxi pick up at the airport - so walk somewhere else to get the taxi and book it yourself!
