The hotel and room were very nice, with beautiful design and quality finishes, like the tile in the bathroom. My room was small but adequate for me as a solo traveler. The staff were friendly and helpful. The gym was very nice, but I recommend they ditch the rap music that was piped-in the gym and the pool area. I spoke with other hotel guest who also disliked this awful noise. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of dishes to choose from. Overall, this is the nicest hotel out of six I stayed in during my trip. I give it "two thumbs up".

Stayed three different times over the past three weeks and each time was better than the last. By the second visit, THEY REMEMBERED OUR NAMES! That blew me away. Such an overall positive experience all three stays. The staff is amazing, always smiling when they greet you in the lobby, or in the halls or the restaurant. We arranged a couple tours through chief concierge Pia and her amazing staff. Rooms are spotless with blackout curtains that overlap (!) for great sleep in comfortable beds with sumptuous linens. I’ve traveled to 45 countries and have never felt so taken care of as i did at the Grand Westside. Highly recommended, and to be sure, this is my genuine assessment.

I had one of the Executive Suites. I liked the room as it was spacious and offered good value. My only gripe about this property is, there seems to be a lack of front desk staff. It is a busy hotel, but rarely seems to have more than one or two people working the front desk.

Overall stay was fine, but 2 things: 1) it is a 10-15 min ride from the airport, so not that close. The hotel shuttle does not run very often, so do not count on it. 2) We got a room for 3 including 1 kid. I figured they could sleep on couch, but there's no couch in the rooms and 3 people can't fit in a queen bed, so we had to pay for an extra bed. Lastly, breakfast is really good.

It was a comfortable stay, although the room view request was not fulfilled. They could improve on the food variety and selection of their buffet breakfast. The personnels who are selling condo units in the lobby are kind of a nuisance.

Paid for breakfast but the queue was easily around 100 people at around 8am and then when I checked later at 9am. The concierge ‘U.K’ was quite grumpy - perhaps not the best job for him, but Nicole at reception was great during check out and very professional. The hotel is fine for airport proximity but I’d not both paying for breakfast again.

Grand entrance, great facilities! big swimming pool with bar. There’s also big sauna and steam room. Rooms were very clean however it has a very strong smell. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Buffet breakfast was great however I wasn’t happy as i booked 2 rooms with breakfast and the check in counter said breakfast was included but when we checked at the cafe where the breakfast is it’s only 1 breakfast included in each room so we got stung with another buffet breakfast bill for another 1500pesos! Beware!

We booked this property because of the free airport shuttle. For such a large hotel the airport shuttle van is very small, only 5-6 persons at a time and the frequency is not great. There are only trips to and from the airport at 1:45 hour intervals. We couldn’t get on the return shuttle to the airport as it was full. It took the concierge over 20 minutes to secure us a taxi. Other than that everything was good.

Overall, the property was good, but the room was a bit small. The value was good for the money. If I could complain about one thing, it the lack of front desk staff. I had two separate visits to this hotel and consistently saw a lack of front desk staff. A lot of International flights arrive at Manila late in the evening. The last thing you want to do after a 24 hour flight is stand in line at 1:30am waiting to get your room.

The highlight of the place was the breakfast buffet. Definitely worth the money. For me, it wasn't a convenient location because I wanted to see a lot of the city. But if you are staying there for proximity to the airport or is good for that. The only bad thing I can say is that the light in my bathroom flickered like a horror movie. Other than that everything was good.
