Firstly the property was falsely advertised as being close to the Medina and minutes walk from all the attractions but it was in the middle of nowhere in a place called El Afak! It was also not a riad but a villa. I had booked something totally different. There were no amenities in this Villa and it had not been cleaned and the pool was there but disguising and looked like no one had attended to the property in years. There were wires sticking out and very unsafe for my 9 year old daughter. The heating and WiFi didn’t work and after days of messaging the manager someone finally came but could not fix the WiFi. When I angrily messaged the manager on the 5th day saying I would complain to Expedia and write a bad review he finally had the WiFi fixed while we were out! But the heating was never fixed and we stayed our whole week freezing! There was no natural light coming into the house as the widows were covered with black blinds and all the windows and doors were unlocked in fact the downstairs door didn’t even close and was open but had a sofa in front of it. So we feared for our safety too. Overall it was a very horrible experience living there. The locals were lovely in Marrakesh. But I was upset every day as I had promised my girls a lovely experience but they were scared and cold every day without WiFi or any amenities. We couldn’t even have a shower or bath the whole time because of the cold and the dirty facilities. This owner should not be on Expedia!! I have photos too

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
The property was completely unprepared. To start with, the people in charge of it were lost looking for keys for some four hours. The interior was smelly, with puddles of (hopefully) water on the floor, the bathrooms looked like they were not cleaned for years. Horrible location, in the middle of nowhere, a good 40- minute drive to the city center. Ants in the bedrooms, cockroaches in the kitchen.Obviously no one cared about housekeeping.We even had to buy toilet paper ourselves! This qualifies for a full refund and I am very disappointed to see Expedia maintaining relationships with properties like that. Never again!
