Rustic Villa close to nearby Vineyards

Traditional Villa built circa 1910 with original period features including Kauri floorboards, sash windows etc. Three double bedrooms, open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area with large open fire.

Property includes modern purpose built games room with bar area, pool table, table tennis table, dart board, large screen TV, record player and log burner (for winter) and large pergola area (for summer).

Property is approx 900m from the town centre and walking distance to a number of local vineyards, bars, cafes and restaurants.

Property is pet friendly, with fully fenced backyard.

Note - main dwelling is over 100 years old, do not book if you are looking for a modern accommodation option.

What a great place! We stayed here with friends visiting from the UK. Super location, clost to town and we walked to Poppies, Moy Hall etc. Loved the old feel of the house and the games room is fantastic! Highly recommend!

A stay without the mod cons

Property a bit tired ie shower looked like it had seen better days. Could do with a clean up in and out. We cleaned the dishes, bench tops, and drawers by hand before we ate as everything had a sticky feel. Kettle was filthy. Boiled our water on the stove. Was off putting seeing cameras in the games room area. Couldn't get the tv to work in the games room, and no instructions either, so didn't end up not spending much time in there and that was one of the main reason we booked. So that was disappointing.There was however plenty of space for a family. About a 10min walk to Martinborough, and a short drive. Lovely outlook, and having the wineries next door. Peaceful nights sleep also. Thank you.

Lovely location

We loved Martinborough and the surrounding area, it looked especially beautiful in all the autumn colours but found the cottage very cold, especially when we first arrived. Perhaps it would be a nice gesture for guests arriving in the cooler months for the host to turn on the heaters before the guests arrive to take some of the chill off the air. It took a long time for the cottage to warm up the first day but once it did with the fire going we were much happier.

Cosy, comfy, great location and fun!

Had a great girls weekend in Marti with this as home base. Plenty of wood for the fires which kept us toasty and a lovely location right next to Palliser. Everything you need and more. Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, lots of towels and blankets.

Weekend away

This is normally a great property with the games room, that we have stayed in before. However we do think soap should be provided in the bathroom, there was only a nearly empty handsoap for the basin. Also the cobwebs everywhere should really be cleaned away, they are not nice at all.
