I booked this hotel through Expedia after searching hotels near the San Juan airport. This hotel is in fact not near the San Juan airport, it’s 2.5 hours away! I spoke with the hotel and they said they would honor a full refund. I have yet to receive that refund through Expedia. I will no longer use Expedia! Be careful searching meat specific airports and double check the location. I would have never booked this hotel if I knew it was so far from the airport. This was very deceiving on Expedia’s end and the fact that they won’t honor a refund is appalling.

Lovely old convent that has been converted into a hotel. Much of the original architect has remained intact. Staff was excellent and room was clean and comfortable.

Great choice in the heart of Mayagüez.

The hotel has an excellent location in the heart of town near restaurants, bar, stores, main square, etc. It also offers secured private parking. The reception attendant, Heidi, was so helpful and professional. The facilities are very well maintained and extremely clean. Definitely, recommended!!

I recently stayed at Hotel Colonial and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and offers friendly service. The staff was welcoming and always ready to assist with any requests, which made my stay comfortable. The rooms were cozy and well-kept, with comfortable beds and basic necessities. While the hotel doesn’t offer a lot of extra amenities, it’s a great choice for travelers who need a simple, budget-friendly place to stay. The location is also a plus, with easy access to lots of restaurants. If you’re looking for a luxury experience with a range of facilities, this might not be the place for you. However, if you need a clean, quiet, and affordable stay with good service, I’d definitely recommend Hotel Colonial. Would stay again!

Nice place to stay but im very tire

The stay was for only one night the hotel is beutifull is an Historic building it use to be a convent, the only thing that I was a little disapointed was that the air unit every 40 sec or so will make a noise from the condencer motor extractor I think but it was really bad to go to sleep biside that is a vary nice place to stay for no more two days

The hotel is right at the heart of downtown. Many places open late for dinner, coffe and night life. Many restaurants for all budgets. The room is small but functional, A/C is awesome, tv and a comfy bed. All people at the hotel are so very friendly and helpful! Will definitely be coming back!!!
