It was terrible because when we arrived they told us they were full, even though that we reserved the hotel couple days before they said they that they don’t even use Expedia no more 😡

AC did not work well we had to bring the matress to the kitchen and sleep on the floor. There was rotten fish in the fridge left a bad smell, no soap or shampoo in the bathroom plus there was also no toilet paper! Oh and still to top it off we were on the 3rd floor and NO elevator. This would be the last option if I come back to Mazatlan.

The staff were very nice and very friendly.

Better than the big resorts

The Sombrero is a great place to stay in the Golden Zone. I was allowed to check in early after an 18 hour bus ride. I chose one of the Jr. Suites, which all have balconies facing the garden courtyard away from the main street. It was very quiet back there. The room was very clean with no bugs and no strange odors. The bathroom had a great shower with consistent hot water. The toilet flushed every time. The kitchen had a full sized frig and freezer that were very cold and not noisy. The stove was gas and worked well. The A/C was digitally controlled with a remote control and could be set to your preference. The TV was on Megacable with many channels, mostly in Spanish. I was able to watch the Spanish broadcast of all the NFL playoffs. Also there is a sports book at the Rio casino only a few blocks away, if you like to bet on games. My maid was great and only cleaned if I wanted her to. The hotel is not located near any loud discos or other annoying sources of noise, so is great for sleeping.
