Siinä on 4 tilavaa makuuhuonetta, 1. 5 kylpyhuonetta, avokeittiö / ruokailutila ja olohuone ja perhehuone. Suuri kannen takana kasvot Hunter's Creek, joka ruokkii Silver Lake. Patio huonekalut ja kaasugrilli ulkopuolella ruokailu ja lounging. Tuo kajakki ja / tai kanootti ja meloa matkalla Hunter's Creekiin, joka virtaa kauniin Silver Lakeen! The house was even better than advertised! We had so much space and we all slept great. The kids loved the bunk beds. We enjoyed the neighborhood park and pool and the proximity to activities like Craig's Cruisers was an added bonus. We would love to stay here again and make it a yearly tradition.

Another GREAT Stay!

We have been lucky enough to stay at Mindy's house a couple of times now. The house and property are very large and accommodating of a large group or family. The owner (Mindy) is exceptional in her communication and co-ordination of making your stay worry free. We look forward to yet another return trip next year.

Nice location. Still close to all downtown attraction 7-10min walk, community pool. Set back off the street and away from most of the noise. Nice beds, and great host. Rebooked for next year.

Our Happy Place is Happening

This property is at the center of all the activity! Walking distance to Silver Lake, community swimming pool and the main strip serving up food and family fun. This is our 2nd year staying at Our Happy Place and we truly enjoyed all it has to offer. Mindy is the absolute most welcoming and accommodating owner. We are already looking to book again next year.

4th of July 2025

Great location! A short walk to watch the Fireworks over the dunes at the end of the street. Added amenities like the community pool and playground were great for our kids of all ages. Love all the seating/room accommodations for our extended family of 12 that fit great in the house. Mindy was very helpful when we arrived and easy to contact if we needed anything. Would love to come back to Silver Lake and stay here again!

Our Happy Place is awesome!

Silver lake has been a summer vacation getaway since our kids were young. The past couple years we are now enjoying it with them as adults and we their aunts and cousins as well. This place mace was great, enough room for everyone. A great location so close to silver lake and the dunes. The house was clean and had everything needed both inside and out. The owners are great to rent from. We would definitely stay here again.

Great family spot

This is a great family vacation location! The house was perfect. The owner was quick to respond with any questions I had. There is so much to do in the area that was either walking distance or a few minutes drive. The yard is big for kids to plan on, has a nice fire pit, and a pool with playground a short distance away. One down fall was the pool hours they are closed Tuesdays and Thursdays and have limited hours on other days.

Perfect week!

We had a fantastic experience staying at Mindy’s home! The house was clean and beautiful. All the comforts of home and then some. We had a group of 4 adults and 6 children and we had plenty of room. The kids especially enjoyed the creek in the back yard and the short walk to the pool! We will definitely be doing it again next year. I highly recommend Mindy’s happy place!

Family Vacation

Our military family drove from CA to Silver Lake to have a family vacation with my brother, his family, and my mom and dad. That is a total of 11 people and we all fit just fine. The property is just a few minute walk to the rides, restaurants, and of course, gorgeous Silver Lake. Yet, it is nestled into a quiet community with a nice community pool. Mindy is a super nice lady and very accommodating during our stay. We look forward to staying again really soon!

Loved this house!

We had 8 adults and 2 kids….plenty of room for everyone! The beds were super comfortable. The furniture was super comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you’ll need. The front yard is huge and perfect for lawn games and squirt gun fights! We enjoyed the back deck and the kids liked trying to fish for the carp that came by at night. And the location is fantastic. Easy walk to the pool, Craig’s cruisers, and the lake. Easy drive to MacDunes, Pentwater and Ludington. Highly recommend this house!

Our Happy Week

Our family really enjoyed our vacation at Our Happy Place. It is a lovely home in a great location. We especially loved the large deck overlooking the stream! A wonderful place for morning coffee, and we ended up eating most of our meals there as well. Inside, there was plenty of room to spread out. There were twelve of us and we never felt cramped. It was nice to be able to kayak down the stream into Silver Lake. The yard is very large and pretty, complete with a fire ring for campfires. Mindy is a great host and we are happy she is willing to share her lovely home!

Perfect placement

The house is situated far enough from town and off the road that it’s nice and quiet. Yet it’s close enough to town that a short walk or bike ride gets you there quickly. The house is very cozy, in the sense that it’s not a musty cottage. It’s nicely decorated and very well equipped. The kids loved that they could dunk our kayaks into the creek right out the back door of the house and off the deck. It was also a bonus to be able to use the garage to store our 9 bicycles while we were there. Mindy was very accommodating and a wonderful host!

A beautiful home and property. Spacious and contained everything you could ask for and more.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone. This was our first time renting through Home Away and Mindy (property owner) made it a wonderful experience. She made us feel right at home the moment we met her when we arrived. Her home is not only spacious and beautifully maintained but also has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The home is only minutes from the dune access making it easy for members of our group to go back an forth throughout the day but set off the main road enough to offer a peaceful setting. We enjoyed evenings sitting on the back deck watching ducks and fish in the water. It was a big relief to have plenty of room for parking the rzrs and trailers.

We felt very fortunate to get this reservation in the winter for our summer vacation this past week. The pictures and reviews were great so our expectations were quite high. I have to say though, they were greatly exceeded :) This house is spacious, beautifully kept up and has a great up north feel to it. ALL the amenities and necessities are there, the beds were sooo comfortable, the yard is great for any activity, the deck and fire pit are large and private. The location is perfect and the pool is fantastic, Laying in a hammock by the stream was a dream. Launching our kayaks right off the deck to head to Silver Lake was another bonus. I cannot say enough great things about this property and the owner Mindy. It was exactly what we had hoped for and much more. We usually go to Silver Lake every 3-4 years, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else now.

Spacious and homey stay!

We just left this home after staying a week with 6 adults and 4 kids. We had plenty of room for everyone. The living area was spacious, open and clean and with a second living room we could all spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fridge was big enough. There was plenty of bed space but the bedrooms were a little warm. There was a full bath with shower and a half bath but no tub. Outside the yard was huge and the playground and firepit got plenty of use. There was ample seating outside. The back porch was large with good seating too. It was very picturesque with stairs leading down to the waterway. The pool is just a short walk but has limited hours. The dunes are a very quick drive and downtown is a short walk or drive. A lot of things within walking distance or a short drive. There was plenty of area for parking and having access to the garage for storage was a big plus for us. We loved it!
