Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property. From check in to checkout nothing was a problem for the staff here. They were all warm and welcoming the facilities were clean and well maintained. The rooms very clean,comfortable and added safety feature on the door which was a great addition.

The room was well equipped for a comfortable stay. The location was excellent, within walking distance to SkyBus (airport bus) and to most of the tourist attractions. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was very basic and could have been better but the restaurant staff was very accommodating

The room was comfortable and had everything you would need for a hotel stay. However, my room was facing the train station and it was quiet at night but every morning the noise from the trains woke me up before 6 am. The breakfast was very basic and didn't offer much for vegetarians. However, they did have gluten free bread. The staff, both at the hotel and restaurant, was lovely. A good stay overall. I will probably stay here again when I come back but will ask for a room facing in the opposite directions.

The ac didnt work on the last night and the gym was not very good with limited weights.Bfast was poor .The front desk didnt answer phone on 4 ocassions when I called from room and I had to actually go down.This was a 1st for me.Room was also not cleaned properly with dust on shelves ect !! Very dissapointed with this hotel after staying in many IHG hotels in the past.

This hotel can't be beat for so many reasons but there are some unique features that you should be warned about. First, the good: The location is great. It is right downtown, walkable to everything and within steps of every type of public transportation, including a half block from the the Southern Cross hub that is the destination point for SkyBus, a direct line from and to Melbourne's airport. The staff was super approachable and helpful. It is clean and quiet. The breakfast was outstanding, providing many choices with an abundance of delicious food. Now about the quirks: as you walk through the glass entry doors on the ground floor, you'll find a well-appointed hallway with a sitting area . . . but no reception. Tiny signs tell you to go to the second floor using one of four elevators. Believe me, everyone misses the signs, they need big block letter signs directing you to the second floor. The bathrooms in each room are essentially smoked glass enclosures that provide no light or noise barrier. So if you don't mind a complete lack of privacy in the bathroom, the arrangement can work for you. . . . . but not for most people, including couples of over thirty years. Watch out for the elevators, they sometimes require you to use your key card to operate and not infrequently, you'll find yourself whizzing many floors past your room before you break the code. We highly recommend this hotel because the pluses far outweigh the minuses but beware of the quirks
