We have stayed at several Meriton properties during our six week trip to Australia but this did not reach the same standards as the others. The rooms were good but much smaller, there is no parking and on the day of our departure two of the four lifts broke meaning a half hour wait to get to reception. Staff were very apologetic and ,fortunately we were in no rush , but this wasn’t great for a hotel which is only two years old.

Great location and Staff was courteous . Tram , shops and restaurants close by . We had a wonderful view of the new year fire works from our suite. They do not provide water but there is a water filter at the Gym.

Staff friendly, room clean. Issue with cupboards in kitchette were high so if your short you can’t reach plates etc. without standing on a chair. No ice or ice trays in freezer and it was there was a cost if you asked the hotel for it. Location excellent, no onsite parking but car park 5 min away with a reduced rate for hotel guests.

Overall a good room. Just a couple of things on the design would improve the overall experience. In the kitchen, the upper & lower cabinets are exactly the same depth, which means you hit your head on the upper cabinets when cooking or using the sink. The peephole in the door is set way too high-uou need to be at least 6 feet tall to look through it. And the hand held shower hose is set so far up on the wall, as to make it useless as a hand held unit, because it won't reach low enough to get to the nether regions. This could be solved by changing the hose to a longer one, but likely too costly to dobin every room. Just very bad designing. However staff were very pleasant & helpful.

It wouldve been nice to have extra supplies in the room already rather than have to ask for stuff all the time. Especially over the xmas period. Hand towels should be automatic. It woukd be nice if you provided face washers also. Otherwise everything was lovely. Please update your compendium if you don't provide the contour memory foam pillows any more.
