Escape with the whole family at this peaceful lakeside getaway in beautiful Millinocket, Maine!

Nestled in a serene location, our cozy and inviting home is the perfect getaway for families, friends, and outdoor enthusiasts. Comfortably accommodating up to twelve guests (or more with outdoor camping), our property offers a variety of sleeping arrangements and amenities designed for an unforgettable stay.

Accommodations:

Private Queen Room: A cozy and private space with a queen-sized bed for a peaceful night's sleep.

Loft Area: Features two full-sized beds, ideal for friends or children, providing both comfort and a unique sleeping experience.

Bunk Room: A fun bunk bed with both top and bottom bunk being full size beds. Could accommodate 4 people.

Living Spaces: Our living areas include comfortable sectional with ottomans to transform the sofa or loveseat into additional sleeping options, making the space comfortable for larger groups.

Sleeping arrangement breakdown:
- 1 Queen sized bed: sleeps 2
- 2 full sized bed (loft): sleeps 4 total
- 1 Full sized bunk bed: sleeps 2 per full - 4 total
- Sectional or loveseat w/ ottomans: sleeps 1-2

Outdoor Camping:
- For the adventurous at heart, bring along sleeping bags and tents to enjoy a night under the stars on our property (ideal for groups larger than 10).
- We also have camper vans available to rent as well if you'd like to extend your sleeping capacity with a van parked in the lot. They can be found online by searching Bucket List Breeze or Nature's Navigator on Outdoorsy.

Host was communicative and made sure we were all set with our needs. House is lovely and view was amazing, even in the clouds and snow! Location was perfect for us - close to Knife's Edge Brewing and River Driver's restaurant. Also an easy drive along the snow covered Golden Road to Abol Bridge for a breathtaking view of Mt. Katahdin. Spotted a lone coyote along the Golden Road and a healthy red fox crossed the frozen lake just near the house. No moose on this trip but it was a quick trip. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to a friend.

My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay at Knife Edge Escape.Rylee and Rachel were totally responsive and quickly answered all our questions and needs.The accommodations were amazing - clean, very comfy and cozy. There were great instructions about "How to stay there" They also had everything we needed for cooking!The views of the lake and Mt Katadhan were stunning and we would just site and gaze out the windows at the amazing view.I can't say enough positive things about the Knife Edge Escape and Rylee and her team!We will definitely be back!

3 adults (husband, wife, and adult daughter). Excellent communication with host. They even checked in with us when we arrived to see if we needed anything and answered questions we had about the area. Lots of info and recommendations about the area provided in the cabin. The view from the bright windows facing the lake was phenomenal (water and boulders, a mountain, loons, bald eagles) but, even more impressive, was the extreme cleanliness of the cabin!!! The washer and dryer were a great feature. Beds were comfortable. All necessities provided including a crock pot we utilized. We didn't feel we needed to wash any dishware before we used it as has sometimes been necessary to assure cleanliness at other rentals we have stayed at. Loved having use of kayaks provided by host (which we have had to rent at other locations). The host even provided orange safety wear (hats, vests, even one for a dog!) since we were there during hunting season. Quick drive from cabin to Baxter S.P. We were fortunate to see a moose 2 days in a row but each time it was just down the hill from the entrance gate to the park so lots of people were huddling around to see it. We never saw moose anywhere else throughout the park or other locations outside the park but it wasn't for lack of trying! Our favorite "looking for moose hike" in Baxter was Elbow Pond to Grassy Pond. It felt like a magical place throughout the forest and the water views. Only regret was stay was too short!

Beautifully renovated and updated 'classic Maine camp on a lake'.Stayed as part of a group of 5 while doing a 2-day gravel-bike trip. Being able to float in the lake after a long day was awesome. Plenty of space for 5 people, 6 would be fine if someone shared the big bed. More would get crowded I think.Kitchen is a joy to use, sharp knives (rare in a STR!), and a good cast-iron skillet (in addition to some new nonstick) was great.Good outdoor hangout spaces at the front and back which was helpful for being in/out of sun and wind.

We had the most wonderful time at this home! The amenities were so thoughtfully prepared—from the basket of Turkish towels for our use, to the local jam & coffee, a nicely outfitted kitchen, and beyond. The home was clean and comfortable, and located in a gorgeous and quiet spot on the lake! The view is really stunning, and the local art featured is such a nice touch. We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay, and are looking forward to making it a tradition!

Peaceful escape

You couldn't get a more ideal location, with incredible views and a comfortable, clean, and well stocked home. The owners are highly responsive and kind. Located right off the golden road with lots of opportunity to see wildlife, close to some great food options (knifes edge brewery), and secluded enough to be incredibly peaceful and restoring. A beautiful long weekend away!

Beautiful spot with great host

This waterfront home is better than you could image. The sunsets from the porch are just magical and something that is going to bring us back. Everything was provided for kayaking, having a fire, cooking a home, family game night. The house is so close to the Baxter state park entrance and the few restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful camp!
