The place is nice, location is the best thing about the hotel in my opinion. While I understand they are trying to keep it as cozy and as charming as possible, the place needs some upgrades as it is definitely showing signs of aging and wear. No adequate lighting in the shower, it was very dark in the shower area. Outdated outlets, weak Wi-Fi service.
If you are in the first floor, definitely the squeaky floors and noises from rooms above will not let you to focus on your own business/rest. The reception staff member that checked us in was not too friendly. She was just nice enough to get by, no extra attention or care from her. Do not expect to get genuine welcoming gestures from her. She didn't give the welcoming vibe as you would expect from a hotel reception staff upon checking at the first contact. I think that is the most important quality of someone who's working in that field to be genuine, friendly and welcoming. Showing signs of frustration if she needed to repeat something or if you would ask a question that she might have explained it in her initial verbal instructions. Overall I would not book or stay at this place again, and I would not recommend it to my friends or family either.
