We have stayed at the Carmel Fireplace Inn a few times now, and it has been consistently good. The gardens are always beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The Inn is a nice walk away from many restaurant and shopping options in the beautiful town of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

It was small living quarters, but fortunately we are fairly small, and it was adequate for us. The location and people who work at the hotel is definitely the best part about the property, and we would consider excellent.

Retro style in Carmel

Carmel stay in an retro 1950 style hotel. Quaint, super clean and comfortable with no frills. We enjoyed this trip, and all Carmel has to offer. We parked the car & walked everywhere. Sunset was wonderful. Don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed. Truly we are happy with the nights sleep.

The room was quaint and lovely. Lady at check in was not friendly during our experience. She was overly friendly and chatty with the person ahead of us but very dry and uninterested in engaging with my fiancé and I during check in. Would not come again due to that experience. All guests should be treated equally

I like the set up of the property. The units are like little apartments with different sections. Our unit is quaint and cozy with windows overlooking the courtyard. The fireplace is cute and functional especially on cold days. The courtyard has gardens filled with flower plants and greeneries. There are also tables and chairs for outdoor relaxation. The staff are pleasant. The parking is limited in the property but there are streets parking available.
