Very nice house.

Charming place with everything you need.

This was my second stay here, and it was even better than I had remembered. There is so much attention to detail. One thing that makes it special to me is the wonderful plants! You'll have everything you need at the Main Street Place, including friendly, attentive hosts!

Nancy and Grant’s home is everything you would want and need when you are on a trip. The hosts actively communicate and provide all amenities you would need. This home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Their home is walking distance to a beautiful downtown area with choices for dining. I enjoyed the Farmer’s Market on Saturday morning that I could walk to. We both enjoyed sitting on the deck and reading. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality and excellent communication. Overall the place was great. We blew a fuse and couldn’t find the rest box owner’s responded and had fixed. Second bed was not described as air mattress, while it was a nice one, just not what I had expected.

Home away from home

My husband and I needed to get out of the suburbs and away from the businesses we each run for a mental vacation and to invest in each other. We often come back to my hometown area for its quiet, serene setting and culture of artisans and hospitality. Graham and Nancy’s getaway felt like home without the work. The home is comfortable, clean, and simply adorable with the decor and plants. It was life-giving! Perfect for us-And perfect for your getaway too!

Great house in small town America

I came to visit my aunt and cousins who live in Mt Carroll. Everyne was impressed by the house. Only one block from bowling alley. Another block to Charlies bar. Great kitchen, big living room, and comfortable bed. What else is needed for a fabulous stay.

Coming Home

Coming home to Mt. Carroll for my 50th Class Reunion (Class of 1971) was a delight, especially to stay in such an iconic and stately home on Main Street, close to everything. Our hosts, Nancy & Grant, were spontaneous to all our questions and needs. Super CLEAN, comfortable and welcoming. Just like coming HOME, where I grew up. They have invested their time, heart and soul in a community and hometown that I love and thank them for their care and consideration to detail and guests' needs. Main Street Place is a gem.
