The Space
Welcome to the Avery Townhome, your private retreat inside the historic 1847 Gurdon S. Allyn House. Bathed in natural light, this beautifully restored space blends original architectural details and a charming nautical decor theme with modern luxury for an unforgettable stay.

The open-concept living area invites you to relax and features:
* Two large leather sofas
* A cozy gas fireplace for cool evenings
* A 55-inch HDTV with Netflix
* A Sonos sound system for immersive audio
* A collection of board games for fun-filled nights in

Prepare delicious meals in the modern, fully equipped kitchen, which features sleek white cabinetry and granite countertops. For your convenience, the home includes high-speed Wi-Fi, an Ethernet connection, and an in-unit washer and dryer. Each room is equipped with its own split system HVAC for personalized year-round comfort.

Upstairs, you`ll find three comfortable bedrooms with room-darkening shades for a restful night`s sleep. The home also includes a bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring.

Access
During your stay, you will enjoy complete and private access to the entire townhome. A private entrance with a simple self check-in process ensures a seamless arrival. There are no shared interior spaces.

* An exclusive stone patio with comfortable seating, a BBQ grill, and an outdoor dining area
* A lovely yard with beautiful hydrangeas (please note the yard is not fully fenced)

Details to Note
To ensure a comfortable and transparent stay, please note the following:
* This townhome is part of a lovingly preserved 1847 home, and you`ll find charming original details throughout.
* All three bedrooms and both full bathrooms are located on the second floor. Access requires climbing a flight of stairs.
* For your security, there are exterior security cameras on the property.
* The backyard is not fully fenced, which is an important consideration for guests bringing pets.
The most important House Rule is, respect our neighbors and community. Mystic is a quaint, coastal New England town. As hosts, and guests, we share in the responsibility of keeping Mystic a great place to visit, and to LIVE. Honor the noise ordinance. Be the guest that you would want staying in a vacation rental near your home.

If you park on Church Street, please do not block our neighbor`s driveway.

Nice, comfortable space, close to town and seaport

We had a very nice say. The space was clean and comfortable. During our visit the temperatures were very hot but we were kept nice and cool. The location was perfect!

Awesome home in great location!

We enjoyed 3 nights at Gerard’s home. The blending of historic and modern is seamless. The furnishings and beds were very comfortable. Everything was so clean and well appointed! Gerard was easy to communicate with. I would absolutely stay here again!!

I booked this for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Gerard was great at communicating and allowed for them to have an earlier check in and later check out. My parents and friends said the place was clean and very cute. It was in a perfect location. They had a great time and I would definitely rent from them again.

Great stay

Perfect Location in Mystic

This historic house is beautifully decorated and had plenty of room. It’s within walking distance of downtown Mystic. We enjoyed the back patio on sunny days and loved walking to our favorite coffee spot “Lis” every morning. This is our second time staying at this house and will always try to reserve it when we return. The hosts are wonderful and responsive.

Beautiful property with all amenities. It was immaculately clean and had everything needed.The location to downtown Mystic was wonderful as you can walk in in less than 10 minutes and avoid having to park downtown.We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.And the host was very responsive and accommodating to a request I made .A '10' in every level.

Cleanliness and Location are divine

Met my sister-in-law for a 3-day getaway. We had fabulous weather in Mystic. The unit was perfectly located, spotless and very well appointed. We had a great time exploring the area. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to visit the area.

Perfect Mystic property

This is by far the best VRBO property we have ever rented. Perfect location to down town and seaport museum. Easy walking. The townhouse was extremely well equipped, clean with high quality bedding and towels, washer and dryer, etc. And Gerard from management stayed in close contact with us.

Fantastic

We stayed at the Avery house for 2 nights and I cannot say enough good about the place. Everything was spotless, well kept and well appointed. Everything you would ever need is there. It is only a couple blocks walk to all the restaurants and shops and sightseeing activities. Communication with manager was awesome. I highly recommend staying there!

Fun Mystic getaway.

The house was awesome on every level. What we really enjoyed most was the owner of this property, Gerard. He was hands down the nicest VRBO property owner we’ve ever experienced, and the four of us have had a bunch over the years. Any question we had he responded immediately, and was super polite. We would stay here or any of his properties in the future.

Great Stay at Avery

We had a simply wonderful stay at the Avery property in Mystic. The house was impeccably clean as was Gerard’s other property we rented last August. The house is very comfortable and has a great dining area! The bedrooms are comfortable as are the bathrooms. The location was great and we had a very short walk to the bridge and shops as well as to the viewing areas for the boat parade! We will most definitely rent from Great Gull again and again!

Great House In Great Location

I booked the property based off of reviews and our stay did not disappoint. The house was as advertised, a great location just a short and enjoyable walk to Downtown Mystic. It’s also just a short ride from the Seaport and Aquarium. The property manager was excellent and communicated with us every day. I highly recommend this comfortable and convenient home as a perfect place to stay. Thank you!

Excellent location for a family.

Great spot that is a short walk from downtown, the maritime museum, a small playground, and many restaurants. Also less than a 30 minute drive to serval nice beaches in RI. House had all the normal amenities to keep the kids entertained when we were in the house and a good kitchen to cook family meals if desired. Only nitpick would be the bedroom pillows. If you are not a fan of very firm pillows you may want yo bring your. Would certainly stay here again.

Just PERFECT!

We liked the location as it is in walking of all downtown Mystic and on the outskirts enough~ It’s basically 2 masters with bathrm attached, loved that in addition to the twin room. Plenty of living space and large kitchen for our group. Very well decorated and comfortable~ Everyone was able to adjust the temperature in their own room as needed and with four women with variety of likes that made it comfortable for all. Attention to detail with all new accoutrement~ Host is extremely attentive~ Thank you for our time and your details!!
